Mom, Mainer, Democratic Nominee for Governor
Couldn’t agree more. Our birthing centers and maternity wards are disappearing, increasing the risk for expecting mothers in multiple counties. If we want Maine families to continue to grow and raise their kids here, they need access to the care necessary to make that decision possible.
Our Maine farms are so important. And the reality of farming is getting tougher: rising costs of everything from fuel to fertilizer, limited workforce and thin margins. Yet farm families continue to put in the work. I won’t forget them when I’m governor.
Big thanks to all the organizers of the Maine Potato Board Industry Dinner. It was wonderful to sit down, share a meal, and catch up with so many of the hardworking growers, processors, and industry leaders who keep Maine agriculture thriving.
My statement this evening on the killing of Johan Sebastian Duran Guerrero:
Tonight I joined neighbors from Biddeford and all over Maine for a peaceful vigil to honor Joan Sebastian Guerrero — a 26-year-old father shot and killed this morning by a federal immigration agent. We came together the way Mainers do, and to say clearly: ICE out of Maine.
Huge thanks to the town of Lisbon Falls and all the volunteers who make the annual Moxie Festival such a vibrant and fun tradition. Seeing our communities come together to celebrate what makes our state unique is one of the things I really love about Maine!
A quick update on Maine’s US Senate Race (no I’m not running!). To stay updated on this process, visit mainedems.org/senate-race/
It didn't end how we'd hoped, but what a run for the US Men's National Team: first knockout win in 24 years, a Round of 16 match, and a whole country showing up for it. See you in 2030, USMNT, and can’t wait to see the US Women's National Team next year in Brazil!
The bipartisan ROAD to Housing Act passed Congress by huge margins, but Trump refused to sign it, calling it a "big yawn." He’s out of touch. Maine is facing a housing crisis. As governor, I will treat this as the emergency it is and use every tool to build homes Mainers can afford.
I’m calling for a moratorium on AI data center construction until we have strong guardrails in place. We need the highest standards in the country to prevent the kind of pollution, jacked up electricity rates, and abuse of communities that we’ve seen from data centers in other parts of the country.
250 years. Bath knows a thing or two about building things that last. Happy Independence Day.
For 250 years, the true American story has been written by the people who organized, marched, and voted to push this country forward. Happy Independence Day, Maine. ❤️🤍💙
Today is a reminder of how far we've come and that we're in this together. Happy Independence Day, Maine, and Happy 250th Birthday to this country!
Tomorrow’s the 4th, but it’s also 1 year since DC passed the "Big Beautiful Bill"—hitting Maine where it hurts by cutting vital health care and food security. I’m running to protect Mainers, lower housing costs, & defend healthcare. We can fight back, but we have to do it together.
Maine's housing crisis isn't waiting. Neither am I. My Housing Affordability Plan is out — built for families, workers, veterans and seniors who deserve a fair shot at homeownership and finding a rent that allows them to be secure. Check out my plan at hannahforgovernor.com/housing.
We will take nothing for granted in this must-win race but we are feeling some great momentum less than two weeks after winning the primary!
Today I had the opportunity to meet with the Maine Municipal Association Executive Committee to talk about the challenges and opportunities facing our cities and towns.
Our fourth Pride Parade in the books this month. Happy Pride Bangor!
Wished my longtime friend Troy Jackson a very happy birthday this morning in front of the entire Maine ALF CIO COPE convention. Proud of my 100% labor voting record and to stand with organized labor and Maine's working people. I'll fight for workers and their families from day one as governor.
Today marks four years since Roe v. Wade was overturned by the US Supreme Court. And four years of devastating consequences for women and families as reproductive rights are no longer guaranteed in this country. (1/2)
Great day with the family in Portland at the Seadogs and then seeing Wilco, one of my all-time favorite bands. It’s been a busy few days, so spending some time together on Father’s Day and enjoying baseball and music felt especially good.
Happy Father’s Day to my incredible husband, Jason, who has been holding down the fort at home while I’ve been on the trail. This campaign wouldn’t be possible without his steady support, endless patience, and commitment to our family. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
Today, I’m celebrating my dad Charlie. He’s a real do-it-yourself kind of guy. He’s also spent his whole life doing good things for our community in very quiet ways, like building houses for our neighbors. I’m very lucky to be raising my own two kids right down the road from him.
After a year-long campaign and a careful count, the results are in. I’m grateful, I’m ready and there is no time to waste. Thank you, Maine. I look forward to seeing you all across our incredible state and earning your vote.
Wrapped up the day with a few more poll stops. Feeling good! Polls just closed and now it's time to celebrate our hard work!
Join us for our Election Night party TONIGHT! It's time to celebrate all the hard work we've done on this campaign and everyone who has helped us pull it off. RSVP here: hp4gov.com/ElectionNigh...
Started this important morning at the polls in Bangor! Beautiful day for an election and great turnout. Go vote today, and rank me #1!
I don’t back down from a fight, especially when it matters for Maine people. That’s why I’ve been endorsed by over 120 elected leaders. They have seen me stand up to powerful interests before, and I’ll do it again as governor. I’ll always fight for you.
