30-something book nerd who spends too much time with her dog. Trying to figure out this whole “mom” thing. She/her.
This is why 99% of my cups have lids and straws. “Grown up” sippy cups. The number of times I have spilled on myself 🤦🏼♀️
Tipsy at Brunch ☺️ The gummy I had before we left the hotel isn’t hurting either ☺️
Having a #girldinner since Chunk asked for pizza leftovers for dinner (which means the stuffed cheesy bread from Dominoes) and I’m not feeling any other leftovers.
Or my mom’s tamale pie: I will say that unless the cornbread mixture is really thin it will likely take closer to another 45 minutes to cook through. We always eat it with more shredded cheese, more salsa, and sour cream on top.
Not how I planned on spending my day. Chunk was a bit wheezy today so we went to urgent care. They sent us to the ER in an ambulance. The EMTs were great and gave Chunk a stuffed Dalmatian fire department mascot. Just waiting on the doctor now 🙃
I love lazy mornings 💙 Chunk and I drove back really late from my dad’s last night so we’re just chilling today. I’m reading on the couch and he is cuddled up with a blanket, juice, and animal crackers watching Spidey from his slide.
Chunk got a hair cut today and for the first time I didn’t have to stand right next to him. My little man is growing up so fast! He also asked for “dinosaur hair” after we were done.
I’ve missed out on a sticker for YEARS since I vote by mail in Oregon. But a coworker told me if I dropped my ballot at the courthouse they would give me a sticker and since I had to go to the courthouse today…
Just realized that I graduated from Grad school on this day 15 years ago. It feels like a lifetime ago. I definitely had no idea how my path through the world would go. The ideas and dreams I had when this photo was taken seem so long ago and far away.
Daycare just posted this photo of Chunk to the app and I laughed out loud at my desk at work.
Chunk and I had a fun adventure day! We hit two of my favorite beaches, had a picnic lunch, walked around an abandoned battery, and grooved out in the car in between. Now he is standing (don’t ask) in the bath making sure his fish toys are clean. All in all a fantastic, unplugged day.
