An expiring software engineer by trade, but an artist by heart ❤️ Posting mainly about my game projects and art. Currently developing "Crystal in Carnations" tactics game at Salmon Snake Games Wishlist CiC on Steam!
Working on some turn order panel UI and I'm wondering which concept is the best for showing what unit gets a turn next: 1 Faces with faction colors 2 Faces with black BG 3 Only faction colors Note that when you hover an element it will show unit info in the corner like in the mock image #gamdev
This inventory concept has lounged in the back of my brain for months now! Finally I have it out of there and can replace the placeholder inventory #pixelart
New devlog! On choices in story-heavy games ^^ I've been looking around the pond on what kinds of devlogs people write and decided I had to write fewer, buhigher quality posts. This month I'm pondering on dialogue choices and how to make them good salmon-snake.itch.io/crystal-in-c...
Working on some #pixelart characters today. I need more characters in my screenshots since it has been only Eloise for way too many months xD
#ScreenshotSaturday The same menu actually implememted in-engine. (Enemy version) Fonts TBD
#ScreenshotSaturday Design some unit info menus for my tactics game this week. I think I could just design video game menus for the rest of my life and be happy
Re-painted Fleurette's character portrait. Most of her old portrait was still arelic from the beginning of development. Quite happy with the hands now ^^ #art
Another batch of material rendering exercises! This time about Gold and steel. I'm off to japan on monday and I don't get the chance to draw for 3 weeks 😭But I'm happy I managed to finish these before that. Does anyone have any tips to relieve my fear of flying? #art
This is a cat checkpoint. Relinquish your most recent cat picture on your phone.
I love my local library ♥️ The silent area has some appropriate decor as well :D
More material rendering studies! This time with painted wood and metal. I'm super happy about the shield, but I didn't scuff the pouch enough. (Now that I see it in the post thumbnail) Oh well, time to move on to the next lesson. #art
#ScreenshotSaturday My game happens primarily in winter. I saw online how someone implemented this snow trail effect in their game and wanted to do the same 🥰
I see that we are all sharing our badges of honor (Excuse me only "SUBTLY" pro LGBTQ+ messaging? I'm offended by this the most)
All of the material rendering exercises from week 1. I could still fiddle with the totem, but I need to move on. #art
Material rendering studies continue. One more project and I'm done with Week 1 assignments :P #art
I'm doing a course on material rendering that my work colleagues recommended. This is from week 1/8, stone and wood. I really like my wooden block. The stone not as much, I wasn't really feeling it when I painted the stone. Maybe I'll redo it. #art
I want to archive all my art on a gallery page somewhere. Preferably something "old" and stable that I can be reasonably sure will be online for decades to come My old Artstation already has a big chunk of my old art so I've converted it into a "Shadow realm" account www.artstation.com/hanulinen
It's #PortfolioDay 🌹 I'm Hanuli and I make games and art! I'm about to jump into this full time, and if my money runs out before my game is ready, I will be opening art commissions to pay my bills. Follow me, if you'd like to find out when that happens ♥️
Another month, another cake club 🥰🍰 This time we had Lemon yoghurt cheese cake
Thank you for the art share! I'm Hanuli and i've recently started working on my indie game full-time. I post a lot of art for the game, and since I'm the only programmer in the team I'm responsible for the technical side as well ^^ Would love to know about other indie game devs here 🥰
I saw these on my feed and wanted to make my own. Can you tell I mainly play games for their stories? ^^" I'm sure I forgot something super important, but these are all very dear to me my9games.com
