@nkjemisin.bsky.social’s “The World We Make” is a damn delight. Inventive, smartly-written, all the accolades — but most of all, heartening. Strength-giving. Hopeful. It’s the book I need right now.

Right??? One dumb hack is that I make sure to sound totally human in discussion, so the instructor hears a "voice." An opinionated voice, but hey. I might also attach an editorial P.S. about a source. Or footnote a crappy AI answer I came across. Or "All errors are custom-made by a human."

This one is fun to read again and again, and I totally recommend it to parents, aunts, uncles, etc. as a non-boring book with sweet illustrations and a kind message. MORE X. FANG, PLEASE.
