I'm currently reading two books. They could not be more different.
My friends and I have an annual grilled cheese dinner with fancy cheeses. My favorite was the "P, Brie, and J" on seeded bread. The jam was cherry cordial 🤤 Another favorite was the lemon stilton.
I loved every single second of this show. There better be a season 2! #rideordie
Skipping the gym today and staying inside. The air purifier is on max. It's so smoky outside it's blocking the sun. Everything smells like smoke, and my eyes are already itchy.
Sometimes Stormy goes to work. She takes her job very seriously. #DogsOfBluesky #Dogs
Had a fabulous time at #alaac26. Met up with new friends and old, and finally met my first editor IRL!
The annual Great Grilled Cheese Experiment was a success. We made 11 different grilled cheeses. Each one was very, VERY good. The starred grilled cheeses are the ones I’ll be dreaming of for a long time. I'll definitely make them again.
My cheese store haul: Potato Chip Gouda Irish White Cheddar Kaltbach Cremeux Blue cheese 4-Alarm Lemon Stilton Harlech Dill Havarti Poachers Carmelized Onion Triple Créme Brie French Butter Honey Comb
This spring has been insanely busy, but I finally made time to break out the watercolors in an attempt to capture scenes from our trip to Sedona last month. #watercolor #sketch #painting
I’ve sometimes felt sad about the milestones this kid has missed. While other kids were out playing, he was home practicing cello (completely his choice). Tonight, while his classmates are off to prom, he’ll be the featured soloist on the very stage he’s dreamed of playing. Oh, my heart.
Name the first album you ever owned. My mom mailed it to me while I was at summer camp. Opening that package is a core memory.
Repost from our local news. I've lived in MI my whole life and I didn't know they did this: This farm in Sparta is preparing for a cold night by lighting fires and running frost fans to protect its sweet cherry crop. 🌸 Picture via Kylee Rasch.
I understood this reference immediately. A friend's disabled parent died several weeks after Hurricane Maria because of the delayed aid. It was horrifying.
Two unique Winter Olympic sports that I've tried: Luge and Curling Here's me luging. Unfortunately, no photos from curling, which was over 20 years ago now 🫣 #winterolympics #olympics
I donated a signed copy of LOVE IS POWERFUL to raise money for MN. The auction begins Thursday at 12AM untill Friday at 11:45PM. There are tons of incredible donations. Check it out! #kidlit #booksky #books #publishing
Parents are reaching out to me with stories of their brave little activists carrying LOVE IS POWERFUL signs in Minneapolis. My heart breaks for the fear their communities are facing, and I’m in awe of the courage Minnesotans are showing by standing together.
First two reads of the year. Loved them both. Hail Mary captured my imagination and The Wilds is right up my alley--wilderness suspense/mystery (if that was a genre). It's the first book I've read by Pearse. Looking forward to reading more.
