Today is Trans Day of Visibility. Alberta parents of trans youth stood at the legislature yesterday: their children are being harmed by anti-trans policy. Supported by Queer Momentum and led by Fae Johnstone, I managed media relations to help ensure these voices were heard.
My nephew Cameron got a letter from @canadaslifeline.bsky.social: he has a rare Ro blood subtype that can help patients with Sickle Cell Disease. He says he can’t take credit for genetics. But he can take credit for booking an appointment and donating. (At 6' tall, it's rare that I feel short.)

Plasma donation has arrived at the Carling Ave Canadian Blood Services. Maybe you've wanted to try donating plasma (a huge help to liver friends), but didn't want to drive to Orleans. And, it just so happened to be a Somerset West CHC blood drive today ❤️ Today was my 43rd donation.
