The High School I work for struggles to find staff each year to take on the added labour of training teachers on placement from various ITE centres near us. One has made a recent quite desperate plea below. They haven't found mentor teachers for 40% of their trainees!!! 1/
I'm most looking forward to the pop out pantries either side of the fridge. No more reaching, no more losing ingredients to the dark recesses of the cupboard.
Update from the IKEA kitchen mines: We've built 11 cabinets carcasses from the Metod range at a reasonable clip today. The draws pop together exceptionally easily so tomorrow's work probably won't take very long. Ridiculously cheap in comparison to Bunnings, Mitre 10 etc.
I find it desperately funny that the reason Chris Trotter gives for real concern about Stanford's new exam regime, that the half who fail will end up going nowhere, is a huge component of PPTA concerns about the changes, while he claims that the PPTA is opposition regardless of the policy.
Having a wife who works in wardrobe means you get all kinds of lovely, heartbreaking, deeply felt moments. Well done to the cast, crew and production team. #Caterpillar is a beaut.
Collin's spin about Palestine being the top focus of PPTA agenda items is a cynical attack. The PPTA were instructed not to bring up pay and conditions BY HER PRIVATE SECRETARY. Three of the agenda items from PPTA relate to topics she wants: AI marking, NCEA changes, New Curriculum. #nzpol
I'm a dude. We don't talk like this in our spaces. Nazi young men do though.
Work done, off home to enjoy the late evening sun for the next two hours, watching Heretaunga awa roll by, throwing the ball for this pup.
Bishop's reaction to Stan's performance and the applause is very enlightening. He thinks that public resistance to his government's racist and anti-constitutional is over, while he plunges forward in support of the RSB.
Hi folks, Ani is making a big deal out of @health.govt.nz being on Bluesky. Let's take a communal crap on her bollocks by ensuring Manatū Hauora gets a sizeable following, ne?
A massive thank you to @beadnd.bsky.social for their generous support and donation of epic @dndbeyond.com resources to our kids and school.
Another student helped visiting kids and some adults build a character in @dndbeyond.com
They made a world building and encounter creation wall, showing their process of moving from templates to draft to final digital annotated maps with lore and populated by their favourite monsters and challenges. The level of detail below is great 10/
Students made a character creation wall, and taught visiting students and family to build a character (video above, pics below) 9/
Today we wrapped up the workshop by converting one of our learning hub rooms into a @dndbeyond.com presentation space. 8/
Looks a little scrumptious, doesn't it? Miss 7 wanted me to snap a picture of the mixing of blueberry and strawberry juices and coconut cream. Don't sleep on coconut cream on pancakes folks.
Taught a lad to use a square today. A good skill to have no matter his future career.
Damn straight. The only dividers here are David Seymour and his enablers in the National Party. #toitūtetiriti
