My husband & son made me an electric guitar! It was my Xmas gift from them & they had been working on it secretly for months. It's absolutely stunning.
Today's cherry tomato harvest. Still plenty on the plants for tomorrow. So delicious.
This is Orba, a Calathea Orbifolia who resides on my window sill because she didn't like being on the shelf next to Tim 3rd. When it gets hot I think I'll need to move her back to the shelf though. There's being in the spotlight and being in too much sunlight!
This is Clive, a Neon Pothos. I hope he will turn my little box room office into a jungle.
And this is DaddyTim who was gifted to M from a good friend who knows their plants, several years ago. DaddyTim is a big plant now in a 35 cm pot.
This is Spike. A Snake Plant gifted for my birthday in 2023 by one of my best mates. Spike gave me some of my confidence back after I lost a bonsai many years ago.
Hardest thing about learning to play guitar? Finger damage. Look at this bullshit.
Gym today. We didn't get to the circuit so we'll do that next week. Med Ball Slams are knackering by the way. And the yoke for the sandbag is shoulder height for me so almost over my head.
Ours is looking good for today (and has for most of the week, considering we are all electric, even the car.
Beneath the Vast Cat Tower of Babel under a sky of multicoloured stars... Mattress in the living room. I think we'll be OK for a couple of weeks.
This the sign meant to deter me from opening the kitchen door because Delta is a master of escape & needs to be kept out of the way of the carpenters. It says 'Open Don't Open' so immediately confusing at first glance.
Zach skied* over the field and back earlier. It's all mud and rain now. *In his wellies. It took a lot of effort!
Technique breakthrough with the sandbag to shoulder move today. I can manage 40kg now, for reps, but I need to get to 60kg for the comp in March! This is me in my new leggings. The t shirt says "It's not fat it's potential energy".
And here's a picture of my cat, Delta. He's the prettiest cat but also very bossy and very vocal.
Oh yeah. I dropped a 40kg barbell on my leg in June so I didn't compete in the comp I was training for. So I reffed the comp instead. Didn't break the leg, which was lucky. Fully recovered now apart from the scarring and tissue damage. Didn't stop training.
