Inhabiting the worlds of academia and psychology. Believer in public health, empirical data, climate change, and dark humor. Dogs, kids and the New York Knicks get me through the day. Not Celine.
Tell me bsky, is this tree-smashed Weber BBQ grill useful to anyone for parts, or should I be calling a junk hauler?
This is a great book. Learning a lot. Not overwhelmingly doomer-y, which was my initial fear when I picked it up. It’s written in an engaging and concise manner with interesting historical facts and civic actions related to climate change.
Can anybody out there verify if this big green box in the yard that the tree fell on is an electrical transformer? It says it has voltage… I appreciate the insight. Internet is not providing clarity.
Remember this playoff run? It’s been a long road, fellow Knicks fans. Here’s to tonight and changing the story! #KnicksSky
Yorktown, VA is a special place that makes for a lovely visit! Highly recommend it. Beautiful, beachy paths to walk on, excellent food, sunrises! World-class museums where you can learn about the American Revolution at a particularly pivotal point in history.
Specific ask: Is there a company that makes an actually decent weekly, spiral bound planner? One that doesn’t use this pretend spiral BS that always comes apart like this?
We successfully made this one and it came out beautifully, thanks to my child’s powder sugar technique! This was such a fun holiday baking experience, crossing our fingers and hoping it would turn out of the pan! 😀
If you see this, post an album cover with a car (truck, motorcycle, tractor) on it. Quite literally, The Car by Arctic Monkeys. Shoutout to Sculptures of Anything Goes (fav song on the album)
A beautiful sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean this morning. Let it be a good omen!
If you see this, post a photo taken in the mountains. Uji Japan in November. I forget the name exact spot but it was breathtaking!
If you have dogs who do this and you cannot stop them because squirrels/dog walkers/deer/cool leaves… I am delighted to share that there are acrylic claw guards that protect your windowsills. They work great! Their existence was news to me and maybe to you as well! No more wood filler!
Was out running errands, learned we were under a severe thunderstorm warning and literally thought ‘I don’t feel lucky today’ and went home. Then this happened right around the corner from my place. SO glad I went home and listened to reason/instinct.
Since becoming a parent, do you know how many times week I think of this? (Constantly. I constantly play myself)
