I went to see my friends who bought and old house in Sweden that looks like this. Swam in the lake, drank booze, fixed some things, laughed a lot. It was so nice! Then had a wee stay over in Stockholm, which is one of my favourite places on earth.
Reaching the end of a most lovely holiday in Sweden, mostly hanging out in my friends' wooden house in Småland, all trees and lakes, with a little time to wander through Stockholm, which I've loved a long time. Absolute bliss. It's also my birthday, most of which will be spent leaving this place. 😢
Wee Wilf will be there, so come along and meet the friendliest wee smout in the world!
I've rattled on about this enough but will rattle on further! Glasgow City Council is intent on getting our beloved Queens park glasshouse off its books. Why? Dunno. It paid for itself until they ran it down. Anyway, these are a couple of the latest, wholesome protest initiatives. Niceness squared.
Every single time Niall rescues a new dog I think, "this is now my favourite dog" (except for my Meg)! Meg is on the left, lounging in the sun. On the right is Wilf, who is an absolute star, about 20cm high, always super excited to see his friends!
Saw Heaven 17 there, and if they somehow manage to see this, you're great, love your stuff, Mr Gregory is delightful, but could you please, please play Let's All Make A Bomb? It's a fucking banger!
The Wee Frees, of which Kate is one, have been a regressive blight on Scotland for too long. She imagines she captured the public imagination with her transphobic, homophobic, sexist bile but she did nothing of the sort. She's found her own, down there in the gutter.
Psychogeography. Our wellbeing is directly connected to our environment.
Wee Meg enjoying the sun. Beats me how a dog with a coat that keeps her warm in sun zero temperatures loves the sun so much, but she does. @flowerpotcity.bsky.social
It seems a parochial thing to post about but Glasgow City Council is planning to close Queens Park glasshouse, a glorious place that houses many exotic plants and beautiful Koi carp, and many of us are not happy about it. I'd share a petition but GCC will only consider Glasgow signatories.
