#ShowMeYourKnits Patterns you have knit at least twice. Deja Joy’s ‘Knit Frozen Snowflakes Beanie’ Knit six of them as a Christmas gift to my sister, her husband, and four children. Lovely pattern.
🧶 For every clothing item I have made I took photos of me wearing it for my ravelry database. But for #ShowMeYourKnits (pictures of you wearing your knitted items) I thought it would actually be more fun to scroll through my photo album and find random photos where I am wearing my knits.
#ShowMeYourKnits is Purple. So you get a purple and yellow starfish, a little purple squid, and yes, a knitted vulva with purple labia. Last one was a part of a commission work for a professor of sexual and reproductive health.

How about 25% of the population live on an entirely different island from Auckland or Wellington? Whereas the three largest cities in Scotland are all less than a three hour drive from each other? Hardly a comparison.

Finally saw a page from the book in question and honestly the whole “it’s because it is such an early phonics reader” argument goes out the window for me. The ‘ea’ in speaks and ‘ng’ in sing are digraphs. If you are already including digraphs then the kids are ready for a much wider vocab range.
Curious about those studies? You will have to be more specific, because when I google “elastometric” it autocorrects to “elastomeric” and gives me results like this, which my students *definitely* would not have been able to wear.
