Every time I'm staying in London I try to get a decent photo of these guys and fail miserably. My daughter snapped this one on her way to work

It's cherry plum time for the blackbirds again!

Not sure if this is cute or downright sinister but it may be the best coffee art ever (Nardini at the moorings, Largs)

Today I have been mural spotting in Penge, as one does. Alt text was a challenge for these pics but it was really interesting. My thanks to londoncallingblog.net for the very thorough blog on Penge street art. I only scratched the surface it seems!

This is a mural called Biosphere Tears by Rocket01 in Southey Street, Penge. It shows the face of a young white woman with a single tear in her left eye. The lower half of her face is under water, perhaps her tears. Around her head are jewels and red flowers. On one side of her face is a bluebird above a CND badge and on the other side is a magpie above an I Love Penge badge.

This is Work by Aspire in Southey Street, Penge.

The picture shows a smiling black man with a moustache. He's wearing a black and red jacket and a dark blue hat with ear flaps. Under the jacket he's wearing a light blue tee shirt and a mauve top or fleece over that. At his side is a robin.

This is a work by Drake x Fiya101. It shows an African hunting dog in the centre bedecked with emeralds and wearing a crown. On either side of the dog are monkeys, possibly Colobus but I'm no expert so please let me know if I'm wrong, each holding a paint spray can.

Friend of mine spent time and money studying iconography and produced this work using original techniques. I'll be hanging on to this Christmas card because I know how much effort she put into making it. Let's keep AI out of art!

My poor boy continues to be poorly but is eating well and enjoying a quiet life for now. We're not at the end of the road yet but there's been one or two complications and it's a hard time for us all

Daughter's little guy, Oliver, had the snip today and I went with her to collect him. I could read the vet's form upside down and under "behaviour" they'd written "sweetheart".

Old Law and Order is the best for spotting actors in their youth. I've seen both Grey and Bailey from Grey's Anatomy as children and I swear this is ADA Barba in such a small part he was uncredited

Fingers crossed for my boy while he's not well. More tests etc to work out what's going on before deciding if there's anything that can be done. On the plus side, I'm single handedly paying for the vet's fancy yacht so that's nice

My daughter got married!

My daughter's wedding went brilliantly in London. Family in Scotland and Ireland had some "excitement" trying to get there through stormy weather. Great to catch up with everyone too
