Okay. Now that the first real chapter of the story is out, I'm going to promote this. Rated M, WIP but the first 55k has been written. Updates the first weekend of every month. Written and plotted before S3. Human AND Canon AU. Hurt/Comfort where the Comfort is the slow burn.

“Ah,” he said, raising an eyebrow. “You’re awake.”

…and you were there.

Widower Aziraphale Fell has been without his husband, Anthony, for almost four years until one day a door appears in a graveyard and a demonic doppelganger named Crowley comes out. Finding himself suddenly living with the face of his grief, Aziraphale must come to terms with his loss and help Crowley get back to his own angel. A story about loss, grief, healing, and finding your way back home.

Teenage me hated cats because my mother... Was not a good pet owner. So scratched up arms and gross litter boxes were the norm. Grown up me... Well. This guy and his brother need their belly rubs every day you see.

A while back there was an event to celebrate Big Dick Crowley. My partner suffers through me muttering scenes out loud when writing but that event tested our relationship as it was a lot more explicit than I usually say out loud. But it did give him an idea, one he has plagued me with for years

Crowley sits up with a gasp, his eyes flying open. He is met by a familiar pair of blue eyes, snow white hair, and a look of shock.

Six thousand years and change come flooding back. Six thousand years and change plus ninety-six, ninety-six, a good half or more of those together, all in a jumble.

They stare at each other as the jumble, no doubt echoed in those blue eyes, carefully sorts itself, and the shock quickly morphs into joy.

“Angel,” Crowley breathes.

They meet again in the same place they said goodbye.

Summary:
It starts as it will end, in a garden.

The touch of fertile soil is cool. It is cool against curious scales under a blazing desert sun, between clenched fingers under glazed glass, underneath clean fingernails under the morning light of the Downs.

Its temperature comes from the water it retains, sustaining all the many organisms that nourish themselves by building homes inside the soil.

Very few beings are aware of this, but the coolness found in fertile soil is no different than that found in the depths of space. To dig into soil is to dig into star stuff. Planting the seed for a tree is the same as planting the seed for the star. To give it nutrients, water, light, all the things it needs to grow; for hands that know the work, it all feels the same.

To bring life, whether to sunflowers or suns, you must dig into the soil it'll feed from and feel its coolness.

Summary:

Crawley knows he’s been in this village for too long, knows that he’s probably breaking some rule somewhere, but he likes it here. The people here—they are kind to him…

People are shouting everywhere, the rain is a constant beating of a drum, growing louder by the second as the water slowly creeps higher, covering Crawley's feet entirely now and lapping at his ankles. The old woman is hunched forward, muttering to herself. She looks up suddenly and Crawley stumbles back, reeling from the intensity of meeting her gaze.

She's praying, he realizes.

And she knows.

Crawley moves…He cannot save them all.

Okay wait I'm better. I cried to my partner and he sent this picture of my cat. Now I'm laughing.

The most unflattering photo of a white and black cat. You can see his GIANT eyes and close up black nose and the little spot next to his nose and then his tiny tiny toes are lower down. The perspective on this photo is wild. That does not look like a cat it looks like an alien. It's so dumb. It's perfect.
