10.) Spiderman: Brand New Day (2026) Best live action movie since Spiderman 2. Destin Daniel Cretton as director made this movie much more alive and lived in compared to the Watts trilogy. The swinging was also just so much better and very close to TASM levels. Plot was also great as well.
9.) The Odyssey (2026) Nolan's adaptation of Homer's epic is a spectacle for sure. I expect this to be up for many awards and deservingly so. It makes me honestly want to rewatch Nolan's older stuff since I haven't watched a movie from his since interstellar.
8.) Marriagetoxin It's decent. Great action animation, but I didn't really get too invested in the cast in general. Ureshino is cool, but otherwise, the show felt pretty flat. Especially the back half.
7.) Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk It's Chin-lan Chang's world, and we're just living in it. ...What are you still doing here? Watch Kamiina Botan right now.
6.) Witch Hat Atelier (2026) The magic system in this is so sick. Although besides that, this season mostly just left me with intrigue instead of an instant classic, as some others have stated. I'm planning on watching the Second Season. Especially with such a diabolical cliffhanger.
5.) Backrooms (2026) It was cool. The cinematography and sound direction were all top notch. The movie itself was solid Psychological horror.
All the Anime I'm watching this season. 5 in total. The most amount of anime I've watched in a single season in a long while. I have enjoyed all of them so far. Yomi no Tsugai is my favorite premier so far, but all of them have been pretty good.
4.) Sentenced to Be a Hero (2026) The last episode was definitely the most interesting one, because before that, I found the world pretty bland. The action was great, and some characters are cool. It's honestly better than average for most fantasies, but nothing amazing otherwise.
3.) Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Nai jan, Muri Muri! (※Muri ja Nakatta!?) (TV Special) (2026) "Watanare Special" You know I was sort of half joking it was going to end the way it did, but I spit out my drink when they actually went there. Absolutely insane. Have fun Renako!
2. There's No Freaking Way I'll be Your Lover! Unless... "Watanare" (2026) This surprised me with how much fun it was. The pacing of it was hectic, as Renako's thoughts, but it added to the show's fun storytelling, and it was honestly a lot smarter than I expected it to be. I see why it's popular.
Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (2026) Put down whatever you're doing and just watch it. Do NOT look anything up. This movie will give me brain worms for a long time.
