Kikuji Kawada - Atomic Bomb Dome

A black-and-white photograph of the sun, taken from inside the devastated atomic bomb memorial in Hiroshima. The roof has been torn off, making it seem as if Kawada photographed the explosion. At the same time, the shape of the image resembles Japan’s imperial flag (not used any longer after World War 2).
