A meteorologist, a loon, a nittany lion, a bear, and a lot more while being on the left. Originally from Honey Pot, made a stop in Toronto, currently in the north end of St Paul.
wonder if Phil is in his bunker underneath Gobbler's Knob right now with a tornado warning in the area.
as I head to bed tonight for another 10hr shift at work tomorrow morning here in St Paul.
Ping pong hail in the North End of St Paul, MN. West Hyacinth and Sylvan. #mnwx
good news. the thundershowers that are responsible for the lightning delay are moving away. even better news, next batch of showers and thundershowers are ~60mi away moving E ~30mph. the #mnavcas game should resume and finish at full time.
An interesting look at the surrounding weather. The panorama from the storm to my NE near Mahtomedi to the line of storms crossing the metro west to east.
As of 8:05pm, storms are ~15 miles out from Eagan and the stadium, moving in at ~25-30mph. Shelters for lightning should be on standby. #MNAuroraFC
In the theater way early for a 7pm showing of "Pressure" up at the AMC in Roseville. But it feels weird now with assigned seats in the movie theater.
Right before departing the apartment to head to the Loons game, I have at least one point of good news. My kidney stone has departed my system. Feeling better heading to the game, on top of the sunny skies and comfortable temps. LET'S GO LOONS!!!!
#F1 in Montreal is always an interesting weekend wxwise. and this weekend will be no different. Saturday actually looks nice with fair skies. But Sunday, steady rain in the AM, showers in the PM. and if you look at the model winds with height, good thing there's no thermal energy to play with. 🌪️?

Btw, if you're scoring at home for the #EurovisionSongContest later today, here's a quickie sheet you can use to help.
looking overall at the very nasty supercell heading towards Monticello, then the Storm Relative Velocity from 3 sides of the storm via the Jackson MS radar. #mswx
not much cooler up here in MSP. also breaking records (in alt text).
Latest "snow on ground" measurement at 1015am/1515 UTC from West Hyacinth and Sylvan: 5.6"/14cm. It could be higher, but the type of snowflakes that have been falling are more apt to compact than normal. But now the blowing and drifting is starting to kick in. #mnwx
Latest "snow on ground" measurement from corner of West Hyacinth and Sylvan in St Paul, but now at 1000pm CST/0300UTC is 1.4"/3.5cm total accumulation. Next measurement expected between 700am & 1000am (1200-1500 UTC) on March 15. #mnwx
First "snow on ground" measurement for this storm from West Hyacinth and Sylvan in St Paul MN at 700pm CDT/0000 UTC March 14 is 0.25"/0.6cm. next measurement at 1000pm CDT/0000 UTC. #mnwx
got an interesting pic from a friend of a friend on FB a few mins ago that was taken when there was a severe t-storm warning near Indiantown Gap PA, the site of the photo about 10mi south of Indiantown Gap. need some opinions about it.
And Mayor Her on stage at the SD 66 Convention with the "Rebel Loon" shirt on. #mnpoli
Looking at the latest radar, I'm not sure we even have a #FlurryOpener today much less a #SnowOpener. The band of snow chose US 14 today instead of US 12. Oh well. It's still a cold opener for #mnufc v #Fccincy . It is what it is. Still, #COYL
well, just looked at the latest models real quick (shown below at 18Z/2pm CT). between them as well as the NWS forecast, I think we can declare semi-officially that the #mnufc v #fccincy game tomorrow will be a #SnowOpener here in St Paul. we'll see if it confirms or not in the stadium. #minvcin
Here's the 4-panel gr2a from about 3 mins ago. Br top l, srv top rt, cc bott l, nrot bott rt
Well, #ams2026 is done for me. Learned some good stuff. And have more to watch later. Meanwhile, time for supper over at the Saltgrass.
And they went country for the line dancing. Not bad. But the floor is a bit packed attm. #ams2026
I was waffling between this and another session here at #ams2026 . But at the end of the day, ethics of proper communication and IDSS is the most important to be here for. My other choice, that's for replay later on.
from Lake Phalen about a decade ago, when they had ice sailing races out on the lake.
Well, if reddit sources are anything close to true, the USMNT may be playing with a striped look for the World Cup. Some people I know would say it's a "trippy where's Waldo". Me personally, a "ketchup -ridged potato chip". Your thought if this comes to pass?
