Found this yesterday. Those 18 years ago i paid 17k € for this, not very well covered #transcriptome. Yesterday our samples arrived with our collaborator, and for less than half the price we get a T2T #genome of the same #plant species. #Sequencing is no longer expensive. #plantscience

Update. The non-EU England welcomed me with classic English weather in June. However, the Bus driver did take us via M4 passing Windsor, so we got a little sightseeing. Btw tomorrow 11.45 uk time there will be a mossy fragrance talk.

Our second training event is on. Today #ModBioTerp. Our 10 PhD students are working hard on the model and characterisation and finally enable (we aim to) product prediction of #terpene synthases. Together with some really cool people we will dive into carbocation #chemistry.

Finally everyone turned up, and we started the discussion on the terpene synthases. I can already say that we will present some results during #terpnet2027 (not 2025).
Today in sunny Amsterdam we kick off #ModBioTerp, my 3rd Marie Curie Doctoral network as coordinator. 10 PhD students will model, characterise and finally enable (we aim to) product prediction of #terpene synthases. Together with some really cool people we will dive into carbocation #chemistry
