Another day, another spike. This new one on the right was fun to make; finally made a nice open space for a good fight. (I really bit off more than I can chew with this project) Just need to update the final room, some teleporters, and then on to balancing. #Doom64 #LevelDesign #DoomMapping
It was my first time finishing Resident Evil 1 1996 this weekend, and I loved it! I get why the community is also so passionate about the game, this one's a riot. Thanks to everyone who joined me on the adventure!
It's their... last game. I can't do anything but shout to everyone about their art tonight, their last one together. Thank you for everything id Software. I'm going to enjoy this game you made, and please, hang in there team, I know you'll find your way again.
Probably going to stream Revelations tomorrow; but not setting shit up until I see the download link live :D
Probably going to be getting games the way I get music one day. Partly okay, mostly not okay with that idea. Maybe I should try start a analogue gaming store one day.
I hate that everything that @vidiq.bsky.social pushes on me in the Youtube backend is AI crap.
Slowly, my Mzansi Doom Mapjam submission is coming together. Inspired by the Cape Castle, this: Castle of False Hope, is shaping up into something a little weird. I'm shocked at how different mapping is for Doom64 to traditional Doom. It makes sense considering how they crunched the data though
Balanced, as all things should be. A mix of mindless awesomeness, but also, deep thinking on a intimate level of problem solving. Enjoy friends, play these games.
Mzansi Doom64 Map Submission is going well! :D I've opted to build each section piece by piece, to avoid a crash, but things are going well. Can you guess where I'm working on next in this Castle of False Hope? #MzansiMapJam
I may love Doom too much. Seeing the chainsaw in Marathon, was hoping to get my hands on it. Also, on the topic of Marathon; I'm just not sure. I think for all the edge, tech, tension, lore, it just doesn't feel as fun as I was hoping. Game has to be at least a bit fun right?
I'm a pretty big fan of Marathon's Maximalist/consumerist sci-fi art direction. It's honestly overwhelming at first, along with the sound design that I think is inspired by a psychedelic music trip. But I think it works well together. It's meant to be the future evolution of our society.
DOOM THE DARK AGES! REVELATIONS! July 07! A DOOM CHAIN SPEAR?! HELL YES! *loses mind completely
