Severe weather is forecast for southern Manitoba and the Interlake Sunday afternoon-night including possible high winds, heavy rain and tornadoes. This could result in power outages and electrical hazards if you see downed or sparking lines stay at least 10m away and call 911.

Beaconia to Victoria Beach and Sagkeeng First Nation: We need to take an outage for about 6,400 customers on July 15 to complete critical work. In May, a pole fire knocked out power to this area and we were able to safely restore power with temporary repairs on a sub-transmission pole. (1/2)
Update: We've restored power to the majority of customers and are continuing to work to restore the last few around Kildonan Place Mall.

Newdale: We’ll need to take a power outage today to repair damage from Sunday's storm. The outage will be from about 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for around 240 customers. #mboutage
Kildonan Drive: We're responding to an outage for just over 600 customers. Trees brought down a power line. A tree crew was brought in to safely clear the area before repairs could begin. We appreciate your patience and expect power to be safely restored later this evening. #MBoutage
Portage la Prairie Area: 367 customers remain without power in the surrounding area. Crews are continuing to make steady progress repairing power lines, poles and other electrical equipment damaged by the storm.
Brandon area: 388 customers remain without power in the surrounding area. Crews continue to make good progress repairing storm-damaged power lines, poles and other electrical equipment. #MBoutage
Neepawa Area: 113 customers remain out in the surrounding area. Crews are continuing repairs to power lines, poles and other electrical infrastructure damaged by storms and are making steady progress.
South Central Manitoba Update 3:30 pm: Manitoba Hydro crews continue to make good progress repairing power lines, poles and other electrical equipment in western and southwestern Manitoba affected by storms. There is significant damage from rain, wind, hail and lightning.
South Central Manitoba: We are currently assessing storm damage affecting power to more than 6,000 customers and will be working throughout the day to replace broken poles, restring downed lines, and repair damaged equipment. #MBoutage
Southwest Manitoba: Storms have knocked out power to more than 4,000 customers, from Brandon to Boissevain. Strong winds have downed poles and power lines, and additional severe weather is expected over the next few hours.
Peguis/Hodgson Area: Crews are on scene responding to some downed lines affecting power to around 575 customers in the area. Crews are working to safely restore power as quickly as possible. #MBoutage
