Like, the instability of the line here! Is this a brush choice problem, should I crank up the stabiliser? Should I try to draw the line seventy times until it comes out vaguely straight? Should I spend another six weeks drawing straight lines and try again later?
Thankyu!! I didn't realise the task I'd set for myself until I was like a third of the way through the nuts, but by then I was in the zone and having fun. I didn't warp them too badly this time, either!
It's still not one to one, but starting with a pencil sketch and then moving to pen really helps with the proportions
Faster, more confident lines. Get the shape, don't worry about the fine detail too much.
So I decided to start over and found a more suitable reference! I think the improvement is pretty impressive, although I made enough small errors that I wanna try one more time. Not tonight, though.
I started on the five tails pose by trying to combine two references, and ultimately I wasn't happy with the perspective
