I produce the podcast from home. Two cars out on the road, with two race reporters collecting interviews. I then piece a story together, write a narrative script, record that script, edit it into a coherent shape, day after day. Here I am doing it in 2022, late at night, deep in the Pyrenees.
Reading The Wax Child for book club while off work recovering. I like the writing. All rather grim though for a sunny Tuesday morning.
So like this, perhaps. Combination of original posts and the existing newsletter, along with linkposts where the title links directly to the source article/web page (as shown here).
Much-needed couple of hours in the hills for a bit of a fresh air. Very lucky to have all this on our doorstep. (Houndkirk > Burbage > Long Causeway for fellow Sheffield folk.)
Absolutely glorious evening for a solo ride on the bike. I live in a big city, but it took just 30 hilly minutes to get here.
Some pretty decent advice from author Lauren Groff, which I read while staring and despairing at my eternally unfinished second novel.
I have officially opened an Etsy store... ...for my excellent wife's circus typography digital art prints. They make great letter art birthday gifts for kids. Good wall decor. Many children's bedrooms. Anyway, also a chance to test out my SEO skills. www.etsy.com/shop/circusl...
Absolutely loved listening to my old pal and work chum Rich Wells talking about layers, collage and creativity at Creative Mornings Sheffield. Still such a lovely event and the perfect way to start a Friday. ☕
Just stumbled upon one of my favourite photos. My identical twins casually watching TV when they were little. They stood like this for about 15 minutes. 😂
After days of hosting and navigating a non-stop barrage of enjoyable but exhausting childcare, I managed to get out into the Peaks yesterday. And I liked it.
I'm not a cycling expert, but one thing I can tell you is it's fairly bad news when you have more punctures than spare inner tubes. It involves walking. Much sadness.
Here I am in 2022 interviewing a couple of riders on top of yet another mountain in the Pyrenees. This was for the Trans Pyrenees race not the Transcontinental. Amazing experience.
Sure, I'm rooting for Bluesky, but I don't think it stands a chance until this button is changed to sentence case.
Love this unofficial guide to @bsky.app from @debbieohi.com, which also happens to be an excellent use of Obsidian Publish. 📝 publish.obsidian.md/debbieohi/bl...
