4/ What I found most moving was this story by @secondzeit.bsky.social about the damage done to Sydenham. Again with hindsight, this is quite haunting and sad. So many ghosts. The barber shop that was closed, because Tony had passed away, hit hard. I used to go to Tony for haircuts.
3/ The story by John McCrone about the science and if there might be another quake has all sorts of dreadful resonance now.
2/ And I found amongst the many papers some articles from The Press from 2010 post- September earthquake. There were some suitably dramatic front pages.
I am on this side of Christchurch at present and just about died when this went off.
The building queue for the EB Games closing down sale. Queue is a shambles taking up a large part of level 2 in Westfield Riccarton.
