If this is real, and I have no reason to believe it isn't, and it has been preserved, it would be a contender for the largest hailstone ever measured on earth, both by diameter and possibly mass given how clear it looks.
For anyone seeing this, I was blocked before I could reply but this person is simply wrong about the control group. People who did not complete their assigned training were not put into the control group, there was no movement from group to group of subjects. That would be awful study design.
That "it depends on who you ask" characterization is carrying a lot of water (no pun intended) here, because it actually mostly depends on whether or not the person you ask is trying to sell cloud seeding services.
Noticed something similar recently under a different artist, Daniel Romano. Doesn't sound like him at all.
To kick off posting actual content here, an early-season West Texas storm that kicked off our 2024 LIFT deployments. Storm wasn't anything to write home about in terms of impact, but sometimes those are the best to just watch and appreciate. 4/15/24
