Don't use this service, didn't you learn _anything_ from Twitter?
I just want to say that Noah Kahan accidentally has the absolute best concert merch for programmers.
I understand _why_ this works this way, but is there an option to readd the "I understand the SSL cert is fucked up in some dumb little way, but it's highly unlikely this site is actually compromised to the point where I shouldn't even view it, load it anyway" button?
This specific point has strong Zune vibes. "We built some tech for this weird corner case of _talking to people_."
Literally did this when I accidentally dropped and broke my expensive System76 laptop. Went on eBay and got a Thinkpad T420 w/ 20GB RAM, plus 2 new batteries, for 138.06 USD, including shipping. Installed the big-ass SSD from the old laptop. Less powerful, but has been working great for over a year!
Can we bring _at least_ this level of whimsy back to operating systems? On Haiku, if your app crashes, the confirm button says "Oh no!" unless you choose "Debug," in which case it changes to "Oh yeah!"
Thanks, @chess.com, “Your blunders demand immediate attention” is 100% getting slipped into conversations from now on.
There was a request submitted for cookies for Australian Shepherds. Nice try, Clementine. (But the do-si-dos are dog-friendly: peanut butter and oatmeal! So who am I to say if someone makes demands via PayPal?)
We’re over hundred bucks now, so 17.83-repeating hard working folks are getting cookies!!
Oh man, you think _you_ hate the DMV? Imagine having to be there every day! Totally bringing cookies to them!
See, this is a popular misunderstanding, William. The doctor is actually named Frankenstein, not the monster.
I probably encouraged The Algorithm to show me nothing but this by replying to DHH on Twitter, but afaict everyone over there is like "we're not gonna take it anymore, I'm renaming the git default branch to take the fight to those bastards," and I'm like
I’m becoming obsessed with articles written for an audience that sat still for 4 hours of TV and didn’t understand a moment of it. Can they actually read this article?
Except Rolling Stone, that just came right out and called the dude a sex pest:
With David Lynch's passing, everyone is posting the "fix your hearts or die" quote, which I love so much it's written on my laptop...but this week, my mind is with Major Briggs.
