Arena is told the reason why Sassy knows every pride flag on sight, and is also told to go fuck herself, vis-à-vis marrying Gates.

Arena is rightfully pissed at the rugpull that has just happened to her, but Sassy lets her know that she still has other options that aren't Gates.
Penny has restrained herself regarding Simpsons references, which, as an elder millennial, is very difficult.

Arena is looking at a novelty ad for a "squirt peanut," and she means to refer to Vanessa's clitoris in this way, which she does not like. Arena is confused by this.

This isn't a literary device - Sassy has been telling this story in excruciating detail.

Arena begins having a breakdown regarding her feelings, and Gates takes it personally, as she is wont to do.

Gates tells Arena that she is a good and worthy person, and Arena encourages her to get top surgery.

Arena promises to have sex with Gates eventually, which is all some people need tbh. I could be talking about anyone, really. The reader is reminded that, yes, Sassy is, in fact, telling this story to Arena.

Gates and Arena share a normal intimate moment that has no repercussions at all.

Gates winds up for a kiss, but is confused when the smooch does not commence.

Arena converses with Gates about whether or not Gates has any intentions towards her romantically. Gates gives the kind of maybe that means yes more than yes does.

Gates and Arena kiss, but Arena does not have the facial reaction of someone who is happy that it happened afterwards, which is odd, because Gates is a decent kisser!

Saw trans Bubsy, drew trans Bubsy. The thing about having a spouse who had a Bubsy OC as a kid, is that you gain a pet peeve by default about how people act like everyone's always hated Bubsy forever.

Despite her various trials and tribulations, Arena has good opinions about non-linear Castlevanias

Arena is playing with Claudio, a dog. She is espousing her distaste for the effect love has on her. Gates is similarly unlucky, but doesn't care. She has too much borderline personality disorder not to fall in love on a near-constant basis.

Arena calls Gates gay, and continues flirting with her in other charming, yet insulting ways.

Arena argues that Aria of Sorrow is better than Symphony of the Night. At least part of this is because she played Symphony on XBLA, so she didn't get the right ending song in it.
