"The French-Iranian author, artist and film director Marjane Satrapi, who became known worldwide through the graphic novel and film Persepolis, has died at the age of 56, people close to her told Agence France-Presse on Thursday, June 4.

"Marjane Satrapi died of sadness a little over a year after the death of Mattias Ripa, her husband and the love of her life," they said in a statement sent to AFP. Ripa, a Swedish producer, actor and screenwriter, died on April 8 last year."

I got curious if The Thing (1982) was listed on Does the Dog Die, which it is. But now I'm more curious about the nine psychopaths who voted that the dogs don't die 💀

A Letterboxd review of Tommy (1975)

If I had a nickel for every UK arena band that made a rock opera based around "my daddy died in the war and it affected me so badly that I became a spiritual leader with Nazi like overtones" I'd have at least two nickles.

Personally, I prefer Pink Floyd's songs but who can watch Bob Geldolf become a Nazi for two hours 🤮

Imo this version does have one very noticeable upgrade from the original - a pre-LotR Viggo and his tight little ass. Gotdamn!
