Real happiness, it turns out, is being in a kiddie pool in the back yard with my kiddie, drinking cold wine, eating strawberries and corn chips, refreshing the status of the soccer match on my phone, every time I hear the roar of people at the stadium <1mile away.

Had the most amazing run in with clowns last night in NYC. Unbelievable convergence because I ate at a restaurant called “bufon” (spanish for “jester”) before meeting clowns on the street who treated us to magic tricks.

I realized as I craved just the potato noodles in a hot pot, I could just make…potato noodles in hot pot (here pictured with some zucchini about to go off). How: Dry toast and oil poach all the sichuan spices+garlic, a little sugar, and add to a base broth of garlic mushroom msg, add the noodles.
A 5 yo kid just stopped me on the street and asked: hombre o niña? I said “niña?” and kept walking. Did i do that right? lol
