Mutual Aid: A Factor in Evolution by Peter Kropotkin is a remarkably interesting read and should be better known for its rebuke of Social Darwinism and centering competition as the driver of evolution.
Just want to give praise to @esotericebb.bsky.social It can be dismissed as a Disco Elysium Clone at times, but it certainly has its own voice and story to tell.
This is why people have stopped trusting the NYT. "Dubious"???? No experts aren't dubious, they flat out think he's unhinged. That's not the same thing @nytimes.com
There is still yet more to come from this beautiful universe. We are in a moment, on a dot, on the edge of eternity.
This is LinkedIn so of course the comments are unhinged, but we really need to start calling these people out. Here is the plain and simple question, if the government doesn't do this work, who does? If these jobs aren't government jobs, who is creating the good jobs out there?
These may be the most important photos I ever take. As we sit in the comfort of our homes, anxious about the world and what will happen, there are people held against their will, away from their family members. People who's only crime was existing in a place they were not "meant" to.
This film should have distribution. It's one of the best films of 2024. You should see No Other Land if you are lucky enough that it's playing in a theater near you right now. #freepalistine
Finally finished reading #IndigenousContinent incredible book reframing the story of North America and the resilience of Native and Indigenous people here to colonization. Could not recommend it more
Thank you to this piece of absolute art that has brought so much joy to my life. I can believe it's already been a year since I found you in the Goodwill
Yes Pantone, 2025 really is setting out to the the year of *harmony*. I guess it is probably going to be the next warmest year on record though, so you got us there.
@axios.com really rounding out the bad takes of the week. Kennedy is an anti-vaxxer but job who's views change on a dime (or for a dime). Gabbard is a political opportunist who is possibly working for far right foreign governments Bessent is a years long Trump supporter Real plurality there
@democracynow.bsky.social Talk about bending to authoritarianism before it's been inacted. Shame on the 15 Democrats who voted for this. Including two who recently lost elections Allred and Caraveo. Oh and everybody's fav Wasserman-Schultz
For some reason this app thinks I love pictures of #blueherons ... Well I do so here is one of my pictures of a blue heron 😂
