Teeny tiny publisher from Australia. Just trying to bring cool games to cool people. Publishing @scorchpot.indieformer.com
Calling play testers! We need some fresh eyes on Abelina. Narrative-driven 3D platformer currently in development. Being made by a guy who worked on League of Legends 👀 If you’re keen, I’ve got the discord link the replies 👇
We had the amazing chance to be picked for PGDX 2026. And whilst we couldn’t be there in person, our good friend Jake donned the Dragon suit and has been helping people feed the dragon. @scorchpot.indieformer.com releases Aug 20 🐲
So incredible to see concept work from Gabe (the dev) for the ending of @abelinagame.bsky.social. The speed and precision this man is working at is incredible! Feel very lucky to be on this game dev journey with him 👊 Full disclosure: I am a video game publisher and this is one of our games 🙏
This job is somehow getting more and more surreal by the minute. We've signed with the epic folks @shortcircuitst.bsky.social to bring @scorchpot.indieformer.com to mobile THIS YEAR. Very excited to work with a larger team to keep the flame burning in your pockets. 🔥
WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE Mark your calendars for our first EVER game release, August 20. See ya there ✌️
OMG OUR VERY FIRST NEXT FEST! So excited to be in it and check out everyone else's games 🎉 If you're in this one leave me a link below so I can check you out!
We are super duper, extra hyped and excited to ANNOUNCE: We have signed another game! 🎉 Almost a year after signing our very first, we're keen to show you what's now cooking up for Q1 2027. Bsky, I introduce: Abelina
We rejected $17K in funding. Bit clickbait, but that's what our first Kickstarter for @scorchpot.indieformer.com raised before we canceled. Too much was going to physical rewards, not enough to game dev. But we picked up where we left off, with a new goal, and there's only 4 days left!
A huge shoutout to our returning backers! Even after the little bump we had with canceling the first campaign, you guys came back around and made the second time a success too. Short, and sharp this one. Then the real work begins 💪
The Vampire Survivors team decided the next logical step was a turn-based dungeon crawler where you headbutt chests for loot. It uses a system that lets you play cards as fast as you can click. It translates the chaos of a bullet heaven into a deckbuilder whilst not being completely overpowered.
This is a strategy game where you're less of a general and more of a frustrated landscaper trying to facilitate a war. The writing is incredibly dense and self-aware, featuring "career options" like insurance fraudster and a fully interactive shower. It’s a weirdly personal, text-heavy trip.
Most games give you a mini-map, but this one just lets you follow your nose through the French countryside to find your family. It’s a low-stress exploration game where the main mechanic is rooting around in the dirt and being a nuisance.
Fighting a fast-food empire with a spirit-mech that runs on flavor profiles is peak indie. You have to match enemy "cravings" to break them, which is a nice way of saying you're overfeeding corporate goons to death. The vibe is very much "save the world, but make sure the seasoning is right first."
Everything in this world is hand-drawn 1930s rubber hose animation, but everyone has a Tommy gun. The contrast between the bouncy Mickey Mouse aesthetic and the gritty detective violence is jarring in the best way. It looks like a Sunday morning cartoon and plays like a fever dream.
Starting a run with Boggle logic and ending it with the infinite void is a choice. It turns a simple word game into a cursed math experiment. The goal is basically to commit crimes against linguistics to see how high the score goes.
The floor is literally a gamble because you only pick the row, not the tile you land on. You’re essentially falling down a hole and hoping the RNG gives you a treasure chest instead of a poison trap. It removes the safety of precise movement and replaces it with calculated dread.
The developer decided a tower defense game was too slow, so they put the base on wheels and forced you to drift while building. You are basically playing a high-speed logistics nightmare where you drop turrets out of a moving van to stop robots from denting the paint.
This is... embarrassing 😞 Despite being fully funded, we are officially canceling the @Scorchpot Kickstarter campaign. It was a hard call to make, but it’s the right one for the game and the community. Here is what happened (Thread)
A deckbuilder where you’re a medieval barber-surgeon treating plague-ridden villagers. You aren't playing cards; you’re managing trust, purity, and sickness while an ancient entity tries to rot your patients. It’s got that dark Inscryption energy and a difficulty curve that doesn't hold your hand.
City builders often get repetitive, but managing Roman water physics and aqueducts is a massive learning curve that pays off. You’re balancing urban sprawl against soil fertility and the literal wrath of the gods. It’s deeper and more demanding than Kingdoms and Castles, but stays just as charming.
Most VR sports games feel like tech demos, but VMX is a proper BMX sim. Tricks are done through actual physical gestures rather than button prompts, which makes sticking a landing feel earned. It even has a realistic spray-paint booth for your bike. A genuine must-play for anyone with a headset.
The "survival craft" genre needed a reset and building a base on a flying island-ship is it. You pilot your fortress through the clouds, loot floating dungeons, and reshape the terrain however you want. It's first-person, fully destructible, and makes the "base" feel like a vehicle for adventure.
Incredible news: We’ve passed our 2nd Stretch Goal for @scorchpot.bsky.social! This confirms a future release for iOS and Android — a massive step toward our vision for the game. To celebrate our growing kitchen, we’ve added new tiers and a 48-hour Early Bird window.
Metroidvanias usually sacrifice story for movement, but this one puts them on the same level. You’re building a party of 16 fully-voiced allies while navigating a hand-drawn world that reacts to your choices. It feels like a JRPG inside a platformer, without the usual "grimdark" burnout.
A CRPG that feels like Disco Elysium dropped into a D&D campaign. - Your stats talk to you and have personalities - Investigation-heavy with a lot of political satire - Dice rolls for basically everything Esoteric Ebb. If you want an RPG where you can talk your way into a disaster, this is it.
A puzzle game about fixing stained glass in a kingdom in the clouds. - 20+ different logic rules to master - No procedural generation, every level is handcrafted - Very high "chill" factor The Artisan of Glimmith. Perfect for when you want to use your brain without the stress.
Games are the hardest creative thing a human being can attempt. That was my "argument" I had the chance to present over the weekend. Instead of creating slides, I turned it into a website. Hopefully you find some value (and appreciation) for the craft! It's a solid 30min read.
A surreal sandbox about a guy who stayed up past his bedtime and is now losing his mind. - You have a "Safety Blankey" glider - Total physics-based chaos with NPCs - Genuine PS1-era fever dream vibes Mr. Sleepy Man. It's weird, janky in a good way, and looks like a blast to mess around in.
A tactical spellcasting roguelike where you’re just an uncle trying to escape jail for a birthday party. - You draw elemental sigils to "weave" spells - Deep synergy between different elements - Gritty, hand-drawn art style Pluto. It’s a deckbuilder with a lot more "crunch" than the usual suspects
We launched our Kickstarter just over 24 hours ago. Fully funded in 3 hours. November: 10 people in Discord, no demo, no assets. Today: 200+ Discord members, public demo, funded campaign. This is what happened. 🧵
