These two live right by my side while I'm knitting 🩷💙 One holds the needles passed down three generations in my family, the other the DPN set my mum gave me some years ago. I made them both myself, measured and calculated the pockets so everything would fit :) #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶
Seen on our walk 🦋 Is it a moth [six-spot burnet] or a butterfly [Sint-Jansvlinder], or both 🙃
That would work! I've made samples, the lavender-orange seems to make a nice combination :)
Yes, good call! I've made samples and am leaning towards the dark green with dark grey :)
Texture for #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Turns out once you get the hang of it, it's hard to stop 🙃 I've knitted four Moebius shawls now, which colour's next?
I've got the second sock on these lovely needles 🥰 #showmeyourknits 🧶
Yesterday I put some lavender cuttings in dirt. To our surprise a beetle emerged ✨🪲
This was my favourite book when I grew up! The German translation is for friends, but now I am thinking of reading it first 😉 📚 #mustread
We just spotted two of the owls, in daylight this time :) 🦉 (*that* is not our roof!)
Light & Dark for this week's #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Light - is this a smart colour for gloves? That remains to be seen but I do love the way they look, and they are warm 🤍 Dark(-ish) - second time I knitted the Sophie Hood, took me ages, not a fan 🖤 Happy solstice! 🌞❄️

Here's a photo of my knitting - ex post facto ;) I made a bit of progress on the Birch Trees scarf (pattern by Julia Marsh)
I spent the morning at a "șezătoare" in Sibiu which coincided with Worldwide Knit Day :) #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶 Some were knitting, making lace or embroidering a blouse (called "ie") Sorry, no photo of any knitting, but look at this.. It took her more than a year to finish & it is absolutely gorgeous
The neighbour asked us to come over and pick cherries 🍒 We swapped them with strawberry jam 🍓, desigur 😁
Our forest walk was peaceful with plenty of birdsong & a few flowers 🌼
