I sacrificed pickles to buy a new friend. Who we then almost left behind. Shout out to the awesome staff who let S back in to grab this dude from the shop. Yes, I know we need to do yard work.
Pretty much nothing in my life is going well right now, but at least I have delicious toast.
Unsurprisingly, most of my attempts to grow things this year have been unsuccessful. It's been a lot of #gardening fails, but this lily managed to hang on and give me a beautiful bloom this week 😍
So I used to have a prayer plant, but, like many of my houseplants, it tragically perished through my bad plant mom skills. Eventually a friend gives me a snake plant cutting. It grows and gets big enough to need a pot. I home in the prayer plant pot. Somehow, the prayer plant returned 🤣

Not doing our usual big planting this year for reasons. So instead just trying to clean up the beds, destroy more grass, seed more clover, and all that jazz. The peony and lilac both seem to be doing well. #gardening

Sewed some reusable cotton pads today so I don't have to buy the single use ones anymore. Then used 5calls.org to call some reps, including one to Pritzker supporting his stance against some of this bullshit. I hate making calls, good or bad, but the site does make it a lot easier.
I feel like I should show off my furbabies, current and prior. The tortie(a boy!) is Marlowe. The black void kitty is Morgana. These are the current babies. The gray boy is Finn, who died in 2021 after being my baby for 15 years. Best cat ever ❤️
Tonight's new shirt is dragons! I now have 5 handmade shirts which means I can wear one to work every day this week 😁
Well the amaryllis is finally getting its act together. The paperwhites continue to just try to get as tall as possible.
