Well the part I am a fan of with this particular version is that the pebble heads are twist lug connection so you can do a rapid swap over from one head to another without having to deal with a garden hose screw connection.

I've been working on a LOT of things for the new curling club that I'm helping out to build out. This is the current version of my ergonomic pebble wand. The goal: to have a pistol grip instead of the typical French grip style so I can reduce grip exhaustion issues and have more control.

I mean, it can't be THAT difficult to make, only 2/3 of the chemicals mentioned here are toxic and only one of them causes intermittent sight loss.

Spent the weekend learning to make curling ice up in Denver and I received the notification that I passed the assessment. So I guess I get to add Club Ice Technician to my resume.

I have some microscopically small silver flake additive for auto body paint I used to get a fake aluminum look when I decided I didn't want to force hexavalent chromium exposure on anyone by having parts chromed for my mill project

For the second project going on right now. I have decided to expand my fabric arts capabilities with a loom. Which is finally assembled and ready for warping my first project once the yarn arrives. Hop in friends we 2D printing over here now!!

So I have two projects going on right now. one I just finished printing over the weekend. Which is this lovely bearing holder/ interface for the mill's Z axis, which was needed because I wanted to put a motor on the X and Z axises, and the Z axis mount was the wrong size and hole pattern.

After seeing the prices for some of them I spent a little time the last day or two working on modeling a prototype for some ring temples for a loom in Blender. There are a couple issues right now where I need to work on the printability of the models. But overall, I am pretty impressed for now.

Usually people have an issue hoarding har too much filament/resin. My filament stash overall is just under 20 rolls of various colors and materials. My resin stash is... getting out of control.

Oh you haven't seen my new gripper discs yet I don't think.

The season is over and my curling shoes are breaking down and I don't like any of the options that exist right now. So I think we ALL know what the reasonable thing to do is. That's right, take measurements, print some lasts, and get them setup with magnets, screws and heat set threaded inserts.

Walking home from voting today. Not fully suited up with a bowtie because my clothing location was 20 minutes away on an 80 degree day. Because of course my state gives me 5 locations I could do the Republican primary at but only 1 for the Democratic primary.

As far as I know those are the first club customized curling grippers. For my foot that doesn't use the gripper discs, there's a stretchy gripper and under that I have polished stainless steel discs so I can slide on the ice. (The white bit on the tip of the shoes is PTFE/Teflon)

So this week I'm finally (hopefully) closing out this cool project of making my own gripper discs for my curling shoes, which yes are falling apart, but making new shoes is a future project. You can see the initial discs in the first photo and the final custom results in the second photo.

I am not sure who did Kes worse. The actual storyline of Voyager, or the 3d modeling team of the Voyager video game... The face and that hair... oh my...

I started over with the Geometry Nodes that are creating the model of this 3d printable pebble head for curling ice to work better with some different slicer options to get rid of the need of post processing coating solutions and even on ridiculously high pressures I'm seeing no leaks.

I have been working on a 3D printable pebble head for curling ever since I saw that someone else made one and is selling the final product and not the STLs.

Yeah, I sometimes worry that she doesn't know how loved she is, especially as I stack blankets under her head so that she doesn't have to strain her neck while she naps on the couch.

I don't know how they do it, day in and day out.
