Let's get ready to tell the city of St Paul NO EVICTIONS! On Wednesday July 15th, concerned neighbors will gather to let the city council know what we think about the Mayor's deadly encampment eviction policy. On Tuesday July 14th, come create signs and be in community with us and our neighbors at the Kmart encampment. Feel free to bring your own supplies or use what's provided. You don't have to attend the protest to help create signs! Please also consider bringing: bottled water, gatorades, single serve snacks, electrolyte/flavor packets, and camping chairs.

Let’s be clear. There are some nonprofits working in this area with a VERY clear sexual violence prevention focus and have resources for partners and families on prevention. They have operating hours, they’re understaffed, and the best they could do is refer the caller to resources.

Sure, do you know how many war crimes we committed in the 90s? We killed around 200,000 civilians just in the Gulf war. We bombed hospitals, power plants, and more. It’s not that hard to look up. I don’t see the EU closing airspace today.

On the conservative side, we can definitely call the State Patrol's 100K estimate garbage because even if you mess around, it's way more than 100K. And that's just the capitol, not all the local ones, and the honking, and everything else all around the state.

Using the mapchecking.com on the crowd images with a little bit of creative borders given the areas where people were and weren't and the limitations of the tool, and how densely people were packed, and account for areas there weren't people by making it less dense, it comes up with an estimate of just shy of 194,000 people: 193,777 people at 2 people per square meter.

Taking the same thing, leaving it as dense as it was, and making it more conservative with the areas and carving out *more* space to account for where there were less people or less density, you wind up with around 200K still. In this estimate, 215,921.

A post from MN Crime:

BROOKLYN PARK: Officers from several agencies have a
perimeter and a wide search underway after two shooting
suspects are reported to have fled from the 7700 block of
Brooklyn Blvd., near AutoZone, shortly before 9:10 p.m.

A late-20s male victim was quickly located at the scene,
with responders saying he had a gunshot wound to the
abdomen and a through-and-through wound to the hip. A
chest seal was applied on scene before paramedics
transported the victim to the hospital. It's unclear as of now
if there may be other injuries.

The suspects are described as two unknown-age Black
males wearing black ski masks and all-black clothing. They
fled in an unknown direction on foot. Several KQ teams and
at least one police drone are being used. A Minnesota State
Patrol helicopter arrived overhead to assist in the search
around 9:30 p.m.

Around 9:45 p.m. officers were seeking surveillance video
from nearby cameras that could have captured the gunfire,
including exterior cameras on businesses and Ring camera
video from any nearby residential homes. Few details are
available on what led up the shooting as of now. More is
expected from officials on Wednesday.
