I’m super cash poor but I got a whole book full of music that I purchased and burned onto CD’s. I also have like 4 large shoe boxes full of cooking spices. Rich!
I stayed up as long as I could. The magpie stayed in the lilac bush all night and now it’s in the larch tree. The other birds are very protective of it.
The magpies are in a tizzy. My nephew came running inside and told me a bird got stuck in his soccer net. I went out there with a towel, got dive bombed a few times, but I was able to get it free. It’s not flying very far and resting in the lilac bush now. Bird TLC is not open this late.
I love how clear the creeks are in this area of Alaska. The horse flies can be atrocious. To be expected when you venture out into rural areas though. On warm days it’s a lot of fun to float in a canoe and fish. #alaska

This last week was horrible. Plus side, Bitty the cat got a new litter box in the mail. I put a catnip ball and some treats in the box it was mailed in and she was loving it. Wahoo, 2 new boxes! #caturday

Golden wonder killifish got a girlfriend today. The male survived a bout of the ich and I was waiting to make sure the tank stayed healthy before introducing a companion. So far all is good and everyone is adjusting well.
Bitty is WEAK on crime. She lives a mere 50 feet away from a hamster and an aquarium. She sleeps on the job like 90% of the time. She peacefully watches the birds and squirrels in the yard. She’s never caught a live shrew in her life. #catsofbluesky
