For anyone curious, this is my latest update to the character sheet and how I will keep it for playtesting. I'm really pleased with the design I arrived at!
And that's what one month of hyperfixation looks like!! From the sketch of an idea, to a character sheet I am very proud of and a #TTRPG I am very excited to playtest 😁 Will the ADHD motivation continue to finish OUTLAWS OVER ORION 🚀 ...only time will tell
Well, it's not perfect. But it is playtestable! Most importantly, it was fun to make. So let me know if you are interested in trying out a space pirates starfighter combat heavy TTRPG that blends Crimson Skies, Lancer and Captain Sonar (just a little bit).
Reeeeeally not seeing the point of Patreon's new Quips. I know I don't have a big following but literally only one person seeing a post is a completely pointless algorithm. When I post on here I can have 0 engagements but still 100 people might at least see the post.
I just got my box set back from my parents house! Got maybe 30 of those wizkids planes, along with everything in the base box, plus the custom condensed character sheets I made.
Okay but this would have been absolutely perfect for the Sneetches
So there are Star Trek cards coming to Magic the Gathering and I while I am not interested in buying this set, I do want to print my own version of this card. So it's a fake.
Okay so what if you had a tabletop RPG of starfighter combat where damage was like Captain Sonar. So there's no damage roll, after an attack hits you it damages a core system like Sensors, Weapons or your Engine. 2 hits and it's disabled until you act to Repair it. 3 hits and it's destroyed.
Yeah I followed their sizing guide and they fit firm but comfortable. They have sections of elastic in the waistband without only being elastic. I wear them in black when I'm on shift as a Barista because they look smart but feel super comfy and breathable
She is perfect ✨ My DnD Hexblood Runeknight, Dragoslava, now in LEGO form. Just gotta build her some kind of scene to be in for some better photos
Possibly because I have done this once before, a long long time ago...
Maybe it's a pipedream. Maybe it's a daydream. But I also think I could run this idea of "literally the FASA Crimson Skies tabletop game but in space" as an RPG tonight with zero prep.
Share a gif of a movie you were obsessed with when you were young. That you could still quote to this day. But you're just never going to show it to your kids at any age...
I remain stunned when people say they have read my games let alone played them. Truly wild to read a comment like this 🥹
Who approved this Samsung ad on Reddit?? "Yeah, we know you are sooo annoyed by AI but we're going to hype it anyway. Leave a comment!" Over 200 comments. Absolute trolling 🤣
I have said it before and I will say it again. Even in the socialist utopia of The Federation where no one needs money and you can transporter to anywhere you want to go. Sisko's Dad would still need to do marketing for his Cajun Creole cooking. How else would people know his place exists?
So what do Patreon creators make of Quips so far? My Patreon is new so I wasn't expecting my posts to do numbers, but this doesn't seem like it's worth continuing to post?
Okay this iteration is already much better! The "lighting" filters adds so much dimension making the background look like a hallway. The light colors of red and green made it look dirtier. The arrow adds some urgency. Happy to take feedback but suddenly this feels like a "something"
Okay this cover isn't as good honestly and I'm not sure where to go from here. BUT this Twist on The Zone is waaaaay closer to being done, so I felt like I had to make it
It's literally just these two photos edited in Affinity.
I really think tabletop designers are sleeping on what you can do with real world photography for game art
Hey game devs, Was there ever a reason C&C was the only game series to have the right-hand sidebar for their UI? Was this ever deemed terrible through research or player surveys? Like, is there a * reasonn* not to do it this way, or is it purely a style that didn't catch on?
