Itzu the Tak
@itzu
Any pronouns 🏳️⚧️ 34 Former failure analysis engineer, current indie gamedev & creator of FPS puzzle game Escape Velocity:
sometimes when I'm feeling a little down about my progress on Escape Velocity I take a look at the greybox sketch of a level and compare it to where it is now
I'm so fucking excited to finally show off how much the game's changed since this demo, it's really crazy to go back and play this when I see what I have now in the project file you don't even get the WEDGE or the new cel shading or the executive zones or anything (stamina isn't making the cut)
fun fact: the current version of escape velocity's first room exists in a weird void unique to it as well! I was testing some different ways to do geometry and to be quite honest I forget what the idea was here. but it sure is like that for one room and then never again
proudly announcing our game studio teaming up with Destiny 2, a very alive game, in the form of this one gun
It's #makeaterriblecomicday2026! here's my terrible comic. also practice with consistency. which. I kinda need practice in
thinking a little bit about this I don't think it changes things this is probably a completely incomprehensible diagram but like. if the spirals are allowed to continue outwards identically they'll hit exact opposite poles at the same time. this isn't good math but ehhh it's enough for me right now
#dailyItzu: rare quadrped itzu! let's see what he's---ah crap get the tranqs
#dailyItzu saw a "draw your OC" prompt with nothing on it so I drew itzu in a void
in case you're wondering how it's going with Escape Velocity: I have these folders that have non-critical names. just for organization. Anyhow. uh. lately I just sorta blast out the right-feeling keys and continue. you can kinda see how things are degrading over time
maybe if I like. quintuple-tether myself I can almost function. like this maybe?
mind horses are back on the menu so I drew one again. with a very off-model itzu because I don't have much experience drawing him prone
(An alternate version, with different alt text. more accurate due to Itzu's refusal of clothing, but I wanted a version that wouldn't require labeling.) And it's not like the love that they showed us on T.V. It's a home that can burn It's a limb to freeze It's worry, love is worry
new commission from @moth.gay !! It's my first commission to ever feature a different Tak: Granite, the only person Itzu has ever trusted. They have a long-standing, passionate, but strained relationship. I've put some more details in the image description.
