Good to be back at #MacGill school in #Glenties Donegal. I spoke last night on the need to protect our military #Neutrality and to retain the #TripleLock
Powerful & compelling film tonight - #Testimony on @rte.ie - exposing the gratuitous cruelty of Magdalene institutions & mother & baby homes. Action needed now on #Redress & #Bessborough #JusticeForSurvivors
Delighted to attend the great launch today of the #SouthDocksFestival Well done to all involved!
Delighted to be in #Galway last night to attend launch of #GalwayInternationalArtsFestival 2026. Great to be there with our @labour.ie Councillors. Wonderful speech from Mayor Helen Ogbu !
A busy weekend in the Dublin sunshine … among other things I was - -Canvassing in #Portobello -Swimming at the #HalfMoon -Marching at #TransPride -Attending the National Day of Commemoration
Very disappointed to see Gov winning the Dáil vote tonight on my #Redress Bill - this means further progress on the Bill is delayed for 6 months. Vitally important we get this Bill passed - to ensure justice for survivors of institutional child sex abuse. #FairShareForSurvivors
Congratulations to our great @labour.ie Councillor Alison Field - elected Deputy Lord Mayor of #Dublin tonight ! @dubcitycouncil.bsky.social
Any Occupied Territories Bill passed by the Dáil must include a ban on trade in goods and services. Proud to stand with Frances Black & other Oireachtas members in support of a ban in services today. 🇵🇸
Data centres are driving up your electricity bills. 💶 The Government wants to facilitate the construction of even more, at your expense. 📈 We are very dissapointed to see the Government parties oppose our constructive motion to keep climate action on the agenda this morning. 🌍
A busy day out in #Ringsend and #Sandymount today with @dermotlacey.bsky.social & the local @labour.ie team. Celebrating #BloomsDay and #YeatsDay - and doing a great #BeachClean with #LabourYouth !
Today at Leader's Questions I raised with the Taoiseach the report on the horiffic crimes committed by Bill Kennealy. It has revealed repeated failures by institutions that should have protected vulnerable children. Survivors deserve accountability, dignity and action. 🌹✊️
Very disappointing to see Minister not willing to intervene here #SyngeStreet We need to ensure adequate space for local Gaelcholaiste!
A pleasure to visit @labour.ie Mayor of Waterford Seamus Ryan, Deputy Mayor John Pratt and Cllr. Thomas Phelan in Waterford this week.
So sorry to hear sad news of the death of Holocaust survivor Tomi Reichental. Honoured to have met him & Suzi Diamond at National Holocaust Memorial Day Commemorations over the years. Deepest sympathies to Tomi’s family and friends. www.rte.ie/news/2026/05...
Delighted to give the keynote address at today’s powerful #BlackandIrish #APNI conference - well done to all!
Polls are now open! And we have two amazing #Labour candidates In #GalwayWest - vote Number 1 #HelenOgbu In #DublinCentral - vote Number 1 #RuthO’Dea #VoteLeftTransferLeft
Great to be out canvassing over recent evenings with our brilliant #DublinCentral @labour.ie candidate Ruth O’Dea - and with local TD @mariesherlock.bsky.social !
Great to attend tonight’s local Community Garda Youth Awards in City Hall. Well done to all involved !
It was wonderful to meet a good friend - and national icon - while out canvassing in Galway on Friday with the amazing #HelenOgbu #MakeHistory #GaillimhOgbu
An immensely positive reception over recent days out canvassing with the amazing #HelenOgbu & all the great @labour.ie team in #GalwayWest We can do this! #MakeHistory #GaillimhOgbu
Bertie Ahern's comments are disgraceful and he should apologise. But we also must take a look around the Dáil chamber. There is not one black or African voice in the Dáil that has the real, lived experience of racism. We want to change that on 22 May, and put Cllr. Helen Ogbu in the Dáil.
Lots of great canvassing over the last few days with our brilliant @labour.ie Bye-Election candidates - Cllr Helen Ogbu #GalwayWest Ruth O’Dea #DublinCentral
It's been a busy few days on the doors in Galway West & Dublin Central. Very proud of the campaigns Cllr. Helen Ogbu & Ruth O'Dea are running for @labour.ie. With less than 3 weeks to go, we're doing our all to put these two fearless, progressive women in the Dáil!
Happy May Day from all of us in @labour.ie . 🥖🌹 It's an important day to reflect on the value of organised labour and the many wins workers have achieved from coming together. As the party of Trade Union movement we will never stop advocating for workers - their rights and interests.
We are hurtling towards 20,000 people in homelessness and there is no sense of urgency. Behind every number is a person, a family, a child growing up without stability or security. Yet Government keeps ploughing ahead with the same old, failed policies.
Great to meet with the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals today with my Labour colleague Robert O'Donoghue TD. 🐶🌹
Working families need real cost-of-living supports now. @labour.ie are calling for a Mini-Budget for PAYE workers to include: ⚡️ A windfall tax on excess energy profits of big companies 🔌 Targeted energy credits 💶 The indexation of tax bands 🌎️ Climate action measures to lower your bills
Demonstrating outside the German Embassy, against the imprisonment of Irish activist Daniel Tatlow-Devally and the Ulm 5, who go on trial today in Stuggart. 🍉🕊️ @ipsc.bsky.social www.irishtimes.com/world/europe...
The findings of Barra Roantree's report on the South-West Inner City result from years of shocking neglect. Ireland is a rich country on paper, but for many it feels anything but. Together we will continue to push for the investment this community deserves.
