A view from Sunday evening and a less traditional take on Cambridge. Also pic 49 in my series #brickinthewall
A photo from yesterday, when the sun was shining (today it's warm but very grey)
The last couple of days in my corner of the UK have been a tad cooler, but today is another garden study day.
A view from early yesterday evening. Today it's all about staying in the shade.
An image from earlier in the week: the memory of the glorious air conditioning still lingers.
Today's relocation to the outdoors study is necessitated by the soaring UK heat but made more difficult by last night's torrential rain that is still soaked into the outside table and chairs. A plastic tablecloth, two black plastic bin bags, a slanket and an old blanket have been involved.
I've been fascinated by this for years and finally took a photo last week. I guess it has indirectly influenced a couple of my published short stories, but I still haven't written about it in a way that satisfies. One day... one day.
Of interest to those living in #SouthCambridgeshire and #NorthHertfordshire. My village band will be playing.
Photos from yesterday's excursion to the Bowie event at London's Lightroom.
I'll be one of the poets reading a new poem at this June event. #Cambridge
Just a reminder that this is happening on Saturday in Hertford, and I'll be there. #Hertford #Hertfordshire
Your's truly reading some poems at Ely's Sundown sessions on Sunday last, clearly at risk of blending into the curtains. Photo with thanks to Romy Gensale
Window on a wall. Pic 48 in my occasional brick wall series. #brickinthewall
Very pleased to have a new poem in Issue 10 of The Amphibian, the "Memory" Issue. The poem is "Catching An Echo". theamphibianlit.wordpress.com
A week today on 10 May. Just saying. I'll be performing some of my poems. See you there? #Ely
As posted previously, I'll be at Herts Book Festival at Hertford on 16th May. Here's a list of other booky things taking place at the festival on the same day. #Hertford
