Finally got my 3D-printed wood-grain pirate chest pick boxes uploaded! Been meaning to post these for a while. This was a fun project, but was a real pain getting the woodgrain working in Fusion. makerworld.com/models/2903297 #3DPrint

My favorite crazy candidate is this guy. Kinda surprised people didn't manage to get their dogs on the ballot or something. Still don't know what any of this means.

Hard to get a good picture of, but I 3D printed a custom 4-way HAT switch using @protopasta.bsky.social's Blue Stainless Steel filament for my Virpil AEROMAX flight stick and I think it came out pretty great! I was a bit impatient with sanding/polishing, but it is surprisingly shiny as it is :D

Noooo! I mean I'm not sure what purpose the Mac Pro served anymore, but still, I'm sad to see it go :( At least my old Mac Pro I rescued from a dumpster is still going strong as my home media server!

Problem: water from the sink keeps splashing the paper towel roll when washing dishes. Solution: throw together an idea in Fusion, and bam a few hours later, it * actually exists* (and works great)! 3D printing is awesome :D

Software contractor companies reaching out to me constantly is annoying, but their spam has hit a new low--this email is meant to sound like a dating profile & even titled "Dating Profile" in case I don't get it, feels condescending. Is this supposed to seem "cute"? B/c it just comes off as creepy.

As if we needed more reasons why LLMs/"AI"/the companies using it are bad. *This* company clearly uses an LLM to generate product descriptions, and the description is wrong about literally everything. Aaand then it exclaims "(r*pe) can be a source of immense joy". And nobody noticed? So gross.

Aaand coming in *just* under the wire at the very end of #MARCHintosh! picked up an old Bondi Blue iMac puck mouse to go with my Pico Micro Mac--finally complete set to go with the mini monitor and mouse :) My phone refused to focus properly so @lbenmore.bsky.social did a manual-HDR to get the shot
