A few more photos the Babakina anadoni, a tiny Placida dendritica (not a nudibranch but a Sacoglossan sea slug species) and another Discodoris rosi reflection.

At least 5 Bombylius canescens, Western Bee-fly at Froward Point today including 4 together egg ‘bombing’ solitary bee nest holes on the footpath. Plenty of Long-horned Bee, Eucera longicornis also seen and the nest site finally confirmed #diptera #beefly #hymenoptera #bee #devonwildlife

Several Lunar Hornet Moths to lure in Paignton this morning and a single at Mansands this afternoon. Then a surprise (not to lure) Six-belted Clearwing nr Mansands which I found whilst trying to net a Hummingbird Hawkmoth! Also 4 Elephants in trap this morning #teammoth #lepidoptera

Evening rock pooling paid off when I found this Antiopella cristata amongst the seaweed near Brixham! The only other one I’ve seen was also in June so possibly a good month to find this species. A large nudibranch at about 60mm (3rd photo). #nudibranch #rockpooling #marinelife #marinebiology

Daisy and the kids found this tiny nudibranch in rock pools at Paington today. They didn’t ID it at the time but appears to be Trapania maculata, a very rare species in the UK with only 25 NBN records! I expect we’ll be heading back this weekend for another look! #rockpool #nudibranch

More nudibranchs found rock pooling at Mansands last night. Egg laying Polycera norvegica, Ancula gibbosa (Humped Ancula), facelina auriculata (Crowned Aeolis) and Limacia clavigera (Orange-clubbed)
Plenty of Marsh Fritillary and Narrow-bordered Bee Hawkmoth (including a mating pair) on guided walk with @savebutterflies.bsky.social at Langaford Farm, Dartmoor. Then another site nearby had dozens more Marsh Frit and Bee-hawks + a single Chimney Sweep #lepidoptera #teammoth

Narrow-bordered Bee Hawkmoths, Hemaris tityus on Dartmoor. Having seen a male flying loops of a patch of rush he eventually landed. I crept over to find a mating pair, the female freshly emerged with her wings still scaled. They were still together 2hrs later when I left! #lepidoptera #dartmoor
Yes have seen a few Violets on the coast this spring, no Black Oils today but loads of M. proscarabaeus triungulin on flowers and some poor bees. This bee sp. on the shore unable to fly and infested in triungulins.
Prawle Point today with the family. Lots of invertebrates including Small Pearl-bordered Fritillarys (30+), Cream-spot Tiger (2), Violet Oil-beetle and our targets Long-horned Bees (25+) and Moon Spiders (8) #insects
