One of the big arguments in the last month was "Europe needs ac" vs "it's not that easy" and I'm not a climate control scientist but this is definitely one reason Americans have a hard time understanding what's not easy about going to the supermarket for a $130/5k btu ac.
I'm guessing whoever chose the descriptions was unfamiliar with the term "pissing down" This is April-May nonsense usually.
Out of respect for that I'll refrain from asking how it is that everyone involved looks worse now. Man, is it raining here!
"How long will she be living at home?" is a very young parent's "most pressing question" about a nine year old.
Neither of these is my favorite movie from my 18th birthday year year but I liked them both and the actor's journey between the two is... dramatic.
as a palate cleanser - my eldest as puck, with his pal as oberon. whatever else Waldorf schools do, they put on a lovely midsummer night's
Very true but occasionally the impositions by adult children are fucking joyful. Took so much to get our place looking uh less like it used to and to feed sixty people three days in a row but I don't mind hosting a wedding a bit.
I love my dad so much. He's my mom's sole caretaker at 84 as she is increasingly altered by dementia, and, with her safely out weeding, he's scrubbing winter off his summertime coffee table. I'd probably be in a hole crying if I had to carry 1/10th what he does. He's still so so in love with her.
I live in a place that adores parades and fireworks and this is the lowest-key, least anticipated 4th of my adult lifetime except maybe - m a y b e - pandemic summer. Whole thing seems like a bummer generally. "Expect rodeos, line dancing, Tejano music and Led Zeppelin." Oh it's a summer Saturday?
It's the mosquito dunk. It's a little cake of insecticide. It floats, so the See below.
“One must be very rich to dress as badly as you do. The poor are forced to dress well.” Baby, I'm a third, other thing on this one.
Gluesenkamp-Perez caped for the anti-trans crowd (bc that's what being a moderate Democrat is, I guess?) and this is the respect she gets from the conservative media.
Lemon chiffon cake with coffee whipped cream and coffee crunch candy. Last time I was in Los Angeles I had a long overdue catchup with my pal Nicole at cafe Valerie in echo park and she insisted we get this cake. I adored it and found a recipe and baked it myself. Valerie's was a tiny bit better.
I am a terrible gardener but I love prepping and seeding in fall; it feels great. But in spring I look at what I tilled and seeded and despair, pulling jewelweed & thistle. Even the first few blossoms feel like a fluke. But when things start to show out and you realize it worked..? Anyway, Knicks.
Dawg I am not a headline scientist but I could have lived with "five can't miss salads" or "it's spring salad season!" or even "SALAD O'CLOCK YOU FAT FUCKS"
