50 odd year old man child who buys wargames figures and RPG’s which get stored in the cupboard for years before being played with or painted.
Bucket list item of nearly 40 years ticked off the list today with a visit to the Acropolis
Thanks to @johnsavage.bsky.social for an amazing weekend of gaming. The battle of Waterloo yesterday with a narrow French win and then Orklandz! this morning. I’m not sure anyone won’t this mornings game. 🤣🤣🤣 Both were interspersed with lots of good food, good drink and even better company.
Finally got round to finishing these off. Napoleon and Mamluk Ali, otherwise known as Louis-Étienne Saint-Denis, as well as another French Line battalion for the meat grinder
Tonight the Sub-Optimals were literally out of the frying pan and into the fire. Saved from Karak Skygg, our Brave Heroes are soon beset by two old nemeses. With @olve.bsky.social @sprandell.bsky.social @brynnaseahawk.bsky.social @frazermac.bsky.social @coljmurray.bsky.social
After the heat of this week, I was able to get into the hives to check on the girls. Both hives are doing well, a second brood box has gone onto hive fleet Charybdis and I put a super onto hive fleet Scylla. I also learnt the most painful place (so far) to be stung, the nail bed of the big toe…
@tomjmegan.bsky.social calls Sigmar's wrath down upon himself and the surrounding mountain tonight. As the mountain starts to slide into the valley, the Sub-Optimals come face to face with the mastermind behind the plot and a desperate fight ensues. Book 4 of the Enemy Within campaign is finished!
We’re back for S3 of @jimjimthegrim.bsky.social River of Cradles epic! We’re taking the Cradle down into Hell with @tashmakesstuff.bsky.social @tessdrinkstea.bsky.social @dracowie.bsky.social
Had these painted for months but never got round to flocking them. Harpies from Wargames Foundry, my attempt at painting them in the Jason and the Argonauts style
My brother bought me a 1/72nd scale Spitfire that he helped me build and paint when I was 6. A few years later, my parents bought me this and it was the picture of a wargames table that got me interested. I wasn’t able to find a group until I was 15, but nearly 40 years later, I’m still wargaming.
After all the rain, the sun has finally come out and the girls are as busy as, well, bees
Tonight the Sub-optimals freed a Clan Mange Warlord and ascended to the top of Karak Skygg. They resolutely decided not to try and save the head of @sprandell.bsky.social wizardly order as apparently 'its too difficult'. Smacks of climbing the corporate ladder to me! #AreWeTheBaddies?
Two fun games run yesterday. Both saw (quite rightly) a victory of the noble, honest and righteous servants of good King John over the thug-like, no good malingering bandits of Robin Hood. Archbishop Roundwood will now be able to celebrate his birthday with the influential people in Europe in style
