I’ve lived in Bellingham for more than 20 years and I finally saw orcas in the bay tonight. Three juveniles and a mother close to the shore plus two more adults further out in the bay.
The starting lineups from the last time the Mariners won against the Dodgers (L - April 19, 2021) and the last time they won in Dodger Stadium (R - June 28, 2009). Remember some of these guys?
Some quick observations about the Mariners' 2027 schedule: - That stretch from late May to early July is going to be brutal. 36 games in 39 days. Two back-to-back 13 game stretches. A road trip through HOU, NYY, and PHI. 😬 - A series in CLE in early April 🥶 - A 16 game stretch to finish Apr. 😩
I took a little time this afternoon to pencil out what the Mariners piggybacking schedule could look like until the All-Star break starting with Friday's Miller/Castillo combo. Days rest for each starter are listed in parentheses.

Found this while cleaning out a neighbor’s garage. It’s still sealed. Dare I open it? It would probably taste exactly the same as it did 25 years ago.
Nice debut from Kade Anderson today. Earned 8 whiffs, 3 each with his fastball (43% whiff%) and changeup (100%). Really liked the action on his offspeed pitch and it looks like a weapon he can use against both right- and left-handed batters.
Command kind of faltered for Emerson Hancock in his second inning of work, but I liked what I saw from him. Added a tick on his fastballs with a corresponding inch of additional IVB on his 4S. 7 whiffs (78% whiff%!) New slider looks interesting too, but he only threw a pair of them.
The #1 movie when you were 10 years old is how your 2026 is going to go. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
Yep this checks out — my Apple Music account isn’t really my own. I’m just glad we’ve branched out from Frozen this year. The real shocker is Howard Shore sneaking in in June. Must have listened to the LotR soundtracks a ton that month. 🤷♂️
Wicked has taken over our house this Halloween. I guess it’s a reprieve from Frozen. Not even the stormy wind and rain could dampen their spirits.
