My hot and sweaty face after my DJ set at Collect, Lisboa yesterday. I had so much fun, got to play on a custom built soundsystem and a resør rotary mixer. Gutted I didn't have any 12"s on me (oi oi!) hehe.
Definitely shouldn't have doubted myself. Soundsystem was perfect and the live set sounded so good. Had loads of fun!
Testing out the holiday 'studio' setup. I absolutely love the MPC Sample. As a bare bones setup, you can do so much it's crazy and still have that tactile feeling with hardware. Cat helps as well 😸 #deephouse #queermusic #transsynths
So here's a more fleshed out version of this initial idea. Finally got it tracked out into Bitwig and a general mixdown is done. Next step is to add more modulation into the sounds and do a final polish. It's nice to have found a fun little workflow with these 2 MPCs 🥰
While I was waiting for the Aircon on our car to be regassed, I brought my folding bike and went for a little ride into the countryside. It was nice to finally have an hour to myself... Only to be ruined when I was trying to drive home and the town and roads being filled with DFL idiots 😩

Sorry if I've been quiet, I have spent the last few days curating my perfect Kenshi @lofigames.com modlist on steam (it might grow a bit I can't lie). It's nearing 200 mods 😆 But it should give an extremely well fleshed out play through until number 2 drops. Autism much?

I've been noticing that finishing songs are taking longer and longer. Initial ideas are quick to make and record, but the refinement process is extremely time consuming. Balancing the energy, the tonal complexity and the overall journey is an art form in itself, like the Alice in wonderland of audio

Currently trying out the demo version of Tape 16. Pretty cool so far. Might see if I can make a track in it. Really love the idea of a baked in tape based daw. Has anyone else tried it yet?

This little idea is potentially the final song of a 4 track EP I'm putting together. Real deep house music! Honestly having so much fun just using two MPCs as my main source for making music. But I've also enjoyed the journey of finding out what works for me creatively. #transsynth #queermusic
