People are willingly opting into the panopticon and calling it convenience

Image of a prison with a single guardpost in the middle, called a panopticon. A beam of light represents the guard watching the prisoners through the bars of their cells. Although the guard can't watch anyone at once, the prisoners are nonetheless forced to remain under constant threat of surveillance, with all privacy stripped away by the possibility and inevitability of the prison guard's gaze.
