I’m not even a big football guy but, as someone who does get a WEE BIT patriotic during the World Cup and might watch a few games… Fuck OFF with this dystopian bollocks. Everything about how American sports are done on TV is awful.
I look absolutely *nothing* like Jeremy Allen White except for similar noses, but I wasn’t going to argue with the person who was letting me back into America last December now was I
Most: Jeremy Allen White (which I don’t agree with, but thank you, weirdly flattering CBP officer!) Most (more realistic): Josh Radnor Least: a boyhood Vladimir Putin (thank/fuck you @sonicscrewup.bsky.social, haha)
I love this and love Big Train. Casual Violence went for a similar “family photo” thing a long while back but I couldn’t quite keep it together
I want to highlight a particular quote from this excellent interview, which resonates with my view on how a good TV writers room should be run. When I first led a room, I’d heard a lot about how hierarchical some writers rooms were; that lower-rung writers and non-writers couldn’t pitch as often.
Apparently it's #PortfolioDay? I'm a writer! I write for animation and live action, and for all age groups! I was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Writing this year! I put all of my skill points into storytelling! Hire me to do good words at you!
This arrived a couple of days ago! Very proud to have worked with a god-tier team on Jentry Chau Vs The Underworld. I got to be head writer on a spectacular show! (PS: I am available for work and I PROMISE if you hire me your show will DEFINITELY also get nominated for Emmys)
The Outstanding Writing Emmy ended up going to some young up-and-comers named Pixar, but as you can see: I absolutely nailed my “happy to be nominated” face! Jentry Chau Vs The Underworld still bagged two Emmys though, because it’s FUCKING GREAT. So proud to have worked with this incredible team.
Just had a stand off with an automated delivery robot on the streets of LA that feels a lot like the Brum reboot trailer my friends and I made a few years ago
The way the creator of this app talks is the definition of “dumb person thinks they’re smart”, so this tracks
You should trust Bezos on this about as much as you should trust him to support the journalism of the major newspaper he bought.
What is so infuriating about the piss-poor justification for all this AI bollocks is that creatives ALREADY KNOW HOW TO MAKE THINGS ON A TIGHT BUDGET. That’s where the creativity part comes in. I literally made a whole indie TV show with a “two pizza team”. No product engineers involved.
One week into 2026, Murder for Dummies won "Best Series" at the Utah International Film Festival! You should watch and/or hire me to write for you! murderfordummies.com
3) Animated sci-fi comedy series DOGS IN SPACE (Okay this one isn't as recent as the final season came out in 2022! But it's still very good! The New York Times said it was one of the top three Netflix cartoons you should be watching! They were correct!)
2) Animated action-fantasy series JENTRY CHAU VS THE UNDERWORLD (We've just been nominated for three Emmy Awards! Including Outstanding Writing! Watch the whole series on Netflix right now!)
My recent work as head writer includes: 1) Horror-comedy murder-mystery mock-doc MURDER FOR DUMMIES (Look at all the film festivals it's succeeded in! Watch all six episodes for free! Go to murderfordummies.com or look us up on YouTube!)
It's the New Year, and I'm available for New Work! If you'd like to work with a RECENTLY EMMY NOMINATED FOR OUTSTANDING WRITING comedy screenwriter whose work was described by the NYT as "consistently smart and deft", you should hire me! I'm also really nice, and hiring nice people is good! #nice
Very pleased to announce that Murder for Dummies has made it into its SEVENTH film festival - and it’s a big one! If you live near Buffalo, New York - go support us at the Buffalo International Film Festival this October! Full festival passes are available now!
Yesterday I went to the hospital to visit a friend of mine, and found this on the hospital gift shop’s clearance sale shelf. Who the flying fuck is buying this for someone when they’re *in hospital*
Also, everyone who watched has commented on the show has been extremely complimentary, meaning either they all loved it or are very good at lying! Here’s some proof:
If you wish there were more original comedies, you want an antidote to AI slop, you like supporting indie creators but don’t have any spare cash… …or if you want to pretend you’re in a world where bad people face consequences for their actions… This is the show for youuuu!
I hate that I’m stooping this low, but there have been SO MANY ARTICLES about the series continuity of Donkey Kong Bananza and EVEN THOUGH IT DOESN’T MATTER!!!! the game does actually provide an answer: original Donkey Kong is dead and you, his descendant, can collect his fossilised remains.
I may have put a problematic amount of hours into Balatro, but at least… *trails off in shame*
