Institutionalised twitterer, slowly adjusting. Tabletop game designer, larper, shaggy dog story connoisseur. He/him.
"If both of them are busy, you'll have to take your chances with one of the others, but trust me, they won't like it."
Risk Legacy is £18 in Morrisons! As a game it's fine, but as an artefact of board game history it's a must-have. The game that kicked off the Legacy craze, and pioneered several things that are now commonplace. We've got two copies. Never finished either.
We've officially entered slow cooker season. Nothing like coming home to a house that smells like stew!
It's a common myth that if you touch an Xbox controller in the wild, the console won't sync with it any more. As you can see, this poor little guy has sustained damage which might have been avoided if someone had picked it up sooner and taken it to a Shelter.
Played some Dystopian Wars this week! It's been nice to get back into the swing of painting an army and playing games. It's been too long!
I'm having some real fun* with @linkedin.com at the minute. Here's a message I've sent to their customer service team. Wonder if I'll get a reply? *it has not been fun
Repost with the first album you bought with your own money! I wish I'd engaged more with modern music when I was a teenager, but I was stuck in the 60s until I discovered the alt / metal / indie scene in my 20s. Retrospectively still a pretty cool first album, though, I suppose!
When you forget a vital element of the coffee run, but don't realise until the person you got a coffee for has already taken it to a meeting, there's only one sensible thing to do.
My main objective in Wordle these days is to do a unique starting word. Today is a good day.
Picked V for Vendetta off the shelf, as I've not read it in a few years. I was expecting a few "oof, yep" moments, but I thought I'd at least get to the first panel before one happened
Can't quite believe how many discounts I've managed to stack up in Terraforming Mars.
While walking the dog, we came upon this arrangement of two rocks and a post. "It's like morse code," said Lily. "Yeah," I replied. "Dot dot dash. " "...no, it's dash dash dot." So she's looking at widths, I'm looking at shapes. I can absolutely see her point. I'm curious - which would you be?
1000 points of Commonwealth for Dystopian Wars! First army I've painted in almost a decade, and they were a delight. Looking forward to playing a game with them at some point soon!
I should really start using this instead of the hellsite. Hi everyone! Here are some pumpkins I carved today. Lily designed them, I did the cutting. She's SO EXCITED for Halloween.
Been thinking board game design thoughts today, which shouldn't be surprising.
I have no recollection of writing this one-page pitch, but it looks amazing and I want to develop it further.
This might be the thing that hooks me back into collecting minis...
