Someone should tell Carol Cadwalladr that the MP proposing a maximum workplace temperature law used to work for a company that installs air source heat pumps (aka air conditioners).
Looking forward to Donald Trump signing up to this definitely-not-ludicrously-unworkable idea.
Unlike Britain, Norway has a totally open address database, and there's even a free address look-up API that doesn't even require registration!
I hope all of the comedy writers here have their Comedy Writing Licence.
Surely the obvious white-suit independent candidate for Clacton is Neville Southall? He’s a footballer the Reform voters of Clacton will remember from the old days. Vague anti-establishment vibes. And has the perfect campaign slogan.
I know it's hastily arranged but what on earth is going on with the lighting here?

Feeling pretty smug about having gone to Bayeux a few years ago and having seen the tapestry on display in an almost completely empty room.
Very unsatisfying that there isn't a bridge or tunnel between Kinshasa and Brazzaville. Centres less than 5km apart, both capital cities. Yet the only way to cross is by boat.
Oh god look at the horrors this former refugee is unleashing on the people of Bristol.
Look at these nightmare machines in Denmark, taking up space from pedestrians, moving quietly so the blind and partially sighted might miss them, moving faster than elderly people can react.
Funny to see this is the argument being made by a cycling activist. I've heard 4/5 of these arguments made against cyclists! (A stronger argument would be the same one cyclists usually make, that we should adapt the street environment to account for bikes and this new class of delivery robots.)
What a great day. Just won an argument on the internet and saw the Dropkick Murphys at the same time.
Update: I reached out to Waymo and they confirmed that the car was being manually driven by a human. So, er, some people here have some backtracking to do.
Feel like I’m going mad. They literally work! There are autonomous robots is driving every day on the streets of multiple American and Chinese cities! No one is dying! There are fewer accidents per mile driven! This is literally a real thing in the world, not “marketing”.
It is six years today that Hashtag entered our lives. Today she is… much larger.
