〓〓 Cornwall has been glorious this week my 'ansums. Give it a go in Spring if you can, don't stay in Ai*BnB as it has destroyed the rental market for locals, don't bring everything with you, try to shop local. And enjoy it. Proper job.

And if I had a fiver for everyone I’ve heard (after a confirmed diagnosis) say baffled “there’s no cancer in my family”! /Because/ the genetic linked disease gets more media coverage, the flip side is people then think with no family history they get a pass #TheArchers Just check your bits, folks.

Evening light on Tooting Common. In the heart of sarf London, which the gullible believe a no-go area. Those able to think for themselves see kids learning to ride their bikes, kicking a football abt, first arm-over of the season for the cricketers, goslings on the pond, and bluebells in the woods.

Me too, Jonn. And then I remembered that I had this on my bedroom wall, so no wonder (later replaced by posters of a Peugeot 205 T16 and a very beautiful Steve Strange… don’t judge me, I had / still have a lot to learn):

Wide horizontal chart representing the reigning monarchs of England from William I as columns (with their capitals), height of column proportionate to length of reign. This reproduction of the chart is dated 1967, and apparently based on one found in the State Apartments at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, though extended up to and including the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. It was reproduced and offered for sale in bookshops and newsagents, I had one in the 1970s.

It's a pity that @chrisgpackham.bsky.social seems to prefer more professional photos these days, but here is my amateur pic of #FoxOfTheDay encountered on my way home from the office Christmas Dinner. Cool as a cucumber, untroubled by passers-by, with a VERY handsome tail.

Bloody brilliant day y'day at the Cold Water Swimming Championships. Absolutely 💯 amazing, all organised by awesome #SLSC cttee and others - all volunteers. I have no idea how many hot drinks we handed out, it must have been high100s. Today I shall mainly be lying down in darkened room! ❤💚💛💙

Early winter's morning, not long after first light, clear blue sky, and a 91m outdoor swimming pool still as a mirror, seen through the steam of two hot tubs. Bunting! Something is about to begin...

Bunting, posters and penguin designs. A notice saying water temperature is 5⁰C, 41⁰F.

Easily my favourite hat: swimmer wearing chin strap swim hat made of artificial turf on which are fixed little bowls of fruit and veg (as would be displayed on a market stall), bananas, lemons, cucumber and more, all topped with a sign saying 'Tooting Market'.

Baby-sitting for friends this evening... I let him watch age-inappropriate programming for about 3 mins, but it (#DogsBehavingVeryBadly) felt like leaving a toddler in front of Grange Hill - he was appalled and fascinated and I didn't want him to get ideas, so we switched over pretty quickly.
