Worth waking up early to see the break of a new day in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Although Europe has had a heat wave, it is cold this morning with fog rising from the mountains. Here is better view:
On our new flight to Paris (which is also delayed) we offered to help the pilots.
We missed the flight to Paris and we were put on a flight to Barcelona. Unfortunately, that flight had mechanical problems and landed at Dulles.
I made the mistake of trying to stop by the grocery store to pick up a few things. I have lived in Houston long enough that I should have remembered that you avoid shopping right before expected bad weather. I was not even thinking about the weather.
The start of another day. I am trying to average climbing 20 flights of stairs each day. I hope that the huffing and puffing is good for my health.
A beautiful day in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Currently a pleasant 66 degrees in Houston, Texas. We had a a major storm this morning and my company’s emergency notification system woke me up a little before 3am.
Wild life. I was walking in Washington DC by a parking lot when I heard a large rat scurrying by. My reactions were a bit slow and he was around 15 feet away when I managed to take a photo.
10,000 steps and a relaxing breakfast at Chad’s before 8am. A good way to start the day.
